My brother has a 2920. The FIL will only take a few minutes to attach once you do it a couple of times. He paid $17,200 before tax for the 2920, FIL, R4s, 60" deck, and 54" Landpride tiller, that was 9 months ago. I have no doubt you can come in well under budget on the 2620. The 3 range HST is the major difference in the 2 machines. I can tell you, if you ever do get a hoe, you will be relegated to Low range with the Deere. It is basically a 1 range machine if you live in the hills like I do. That Medium range is the difference maker. Plus, it's cheaper.

If you are mostly mowing I would consider the turf tires. I have a B3030 with turf tires. I have a dedicated ZTR for mowing and use the tractor for snow removal with a front blade. I also brushcut fields and use the FEL for debri removal, carrying firewood, and gardening. I am very happy with turf tires and prefer them over R4. The turf tires are likely better for your lawn and provide good traction at least for my uses.

I have turf tires and they work pretty good. Good in the snow and on the grass. They don't work to bad in a little bit of mud, but in really heavy mud, they are pretty bad. When its that muddy, it's not any fun working anyway, so I just park it.

I would put my nod to the turf tires as well, especially for mowing. My R4's will tear up the grass a little with the front outside tire in a tight turn. I never had this problem with my turfs before on my B7200. The turfs seemed to do just fine even plowing snow. The turfs may actually seem better when plowing/grading my gravel driveway, I think the flat bar tread on the R4's have a tendency to ride on top of loose gravel like marbles versus the turfs letting the rocks in the tread. I never had a BH or FEL on my old B7200, but I use all the same 3pt implements with both tractors and their weight is about the same.

I actually have loaded R-4's on my 2620. I agree they will slightly tear the lawn a little in tight turns but not to bad. I dont mow w/ mine and have a dedicated ZTR so this is the reason I went w/ the loaded R-4's most of my work is done in woods on some wet spots, and will be done leveling about a 2 acres back field When I am on the "good lawn" I just dont make that tight of turns and I have no problem. If this will be your primary mower than I vote for the turfs as well.

I have the optional bar/turf tires. You can find them on Kubota's configurator as there are two turf tire setups. It's basically a turf tire up front and a modified bar tire in the back. I'm happy as they are easier on the lawn and I haven't needed chains for any of my snowblowing work. See pic.

You said you had some woods to clean up. Keep in mind that the R4's are a lot more puncture resistant than the turfs.
I mow with an L2800 and I have loaded R4s and don't have any problems, even when its wet. If it will be a dedicated mowing machine, then get the turfs. If you have other chores in rougher terrain that will require some bite, get the R4s.
