While I fully understand some of you claim you already own the last vehicle you will own in your lifetime and understand that could be the case with me as well but I hope not.

Our kids are 22 and this site excites me about what their next vehicle may be like. EV battery and charger news excites me because that is the weak link of EV future success today in my view.

I can see this law change. With our EV the same about of charge during a session can range from $7 to $14 just depending just on the battery pack temperature. Not sure it will move to other states but CA is the home of EV's and their usage in the USA at least.

Waiting for several essential aspects that will eventually evolve. One is collision avoidance capability that is at the infancy stage presently but evolving - see Tesla and others. Because one limitation on flying cars is the present need of every aircraft to have a big safety cushion of a lot of airspace around it.

Now we have nuclear submarines. Automobiles too!

There is not a power storage medium nor power plant that is light enough, compact enough , cheap enough or reliable enough to operate a Jetson's practical flying car.

Believing and hoping is fine but your can not wish the impossible into existence . The sound barrier restricts almost all aircraft almost all of the time to subsonic velocity. Do you believe there is some method yet to be developed that allow Piper Cubs to sustain Mach II.

There is little to further gain in lightweight high strength structural materials , motors , batteries and PV panels .
The airframe had to avoid inclement weather . Flights had to be at altitudes that required the pilot to be on oxygen .
There are some 24/7 solar powered unmanned airframes in design for spying and communication.
