I'm amazed that more 3pt arm attachment points don't break. They can get some serious forces put on them -

If my rear blade catches a expansion joint just right when I am plowing snow, it stops right NOW.

Most failures like this are the result of the implement becoming detached on one side. Not saying its the case here, but if the click pin holding the implement to one of the 3 point arms comes off its pretty easy for the implement works its self off on that side. As a result the remaining lift arm is suddenly side loaded and slams to the outside under load which can instantly snap off the retaining ear or break the housing regardless of tractor brand or size.

imagine a big old hunk of concrete counterweight bouncing around on the op's or your tractor.

I do not think I'm the only one saying the dealer should simply replace the tractor -- 3 hours !!?? Holy Cow ! AGCO and the dealer should have to work around this broken machine on their lot, NOT this owner on his lot. At very least they should be giving him a loaner during repairs (unless repairs are far shorter than I expect them to be.)

the op shouldnt even have to ask. the dealer should have offered right away. if not return it.

Jeep, you did say"most" and I understand what you are saying, but disagree on "regardless of tractor brand or size." I have had a 1500lb 7ft bush hog come loose on one side, drug around the side of my MF2660 to the point where it caught on a rear wheel tread lug, and stopped the tractor at full field cutting speed. Slammed everything to a halt. Lift arm anchor mount was totally unfazed and unharmed. (Only once thank heavens.) I've hit unforseen rocks, stumps and obstacles with my previous JD4700 over a 10 year period pulling a 6ft hog that jerked the entire machine to a halt. Same with both of my 'Bota B2150's one of which I've had for 30 years. Never ever had a lift arm attach point break or even show damage. Many times I've hit things and got off to look, expecting the attach points to be ripped apart. Never was one damaged much less broken.

In my opinion this phenom of breaking off a lower lift arm attach point is very limited to certain models of tractors and rare to nonexistent with others.

I once saw a John Deere for sale with the bracket on the aluminum housing snapped. His son was mowing and backed the empty 3 pt arm into a tree and snapped the bracket,

That is a combination of a poor design and a crap casting. Best guess is that they had too much carbon, not enough silicon, and poured it too cold. That part should have been made from a high quality cast steel and had the flange beefed up. Best guess is that it was cast in either India or China.

That did not happen

Can you keep the tractor and continue to use the loader etc. until the dealer has the new part in hand? At least then the you will have partial use while waiting for the part, which I image could be a long wait.

That is what we are trying to do.
The dealer came and got it for a diagnosis and to see if Massey was going to cover the failure yesterday.
Chance of a new/replacement tractor or loaner tractor = ZERO
