Building dump trailer

I know what you mean by hoping to see it dump it's first load. I was proud as a peacock when I loaded mine and pulled it home and watched it dump for the first time. That was worth all the work me and my friend put into it.

Well it's painted, it looks real good if you stand far enough away:)

I have never used a large paint gun nor painted in the dark but I managed to cover the trailer, me and the ground with blue paint.

I was having a problem with the bed bleeding down and since the hydraulic pump didn't come with any directions on which port to connect to for up or down since it's power up and down, I was guessing, figured I had a 50/50 chance....my first guess wasn't correct but I prevailed on the second one and now it works like it should.

I still have to test it out with a full load of dirt.....I am hoping that will be soon.

Super job. After a few days of "cure time" when you get ready to dump the first bucket load into it, just remember "this thing was made to serve me and help me in my work and getting scratched and dirty is part of its job", the go ahead and dump it. For me it is easier that way. Satisfaction is in a working piece of equipment.

The clickable thumnails are a GREAT addition. Thanks for taking the time to figure it out.

I guess the pump manufacturer figures men don't need directions.

I didn't do anything any different from previous picture additions, TBN added this feature which is cool.

I bought it off Ebay so ya know how that can work sometimes...

If it doesn't rain in the next few days I will give her a test and see how she works out:)

Professional ! First rate all the way around ! Congrats. You can build something for me any old time.

Looks like you painted 'er right on the parking lot and far enough from the building to keep it from getting 'misty blue'. Did you spray the under side of the frame first so you didn't have to crawl around in the overspray?
Nice Job!

I had on a paper painters suit so rolling around on the gravel wasn't too bad except for the rocks in the back, the tailgate was hanging in a tree so it was the easiest to paint.

Rolling around in the gravel doesn't sound like fun, glad you mentioned that, in case I ever get around to painting the "Ugly Trailer" that I built. I am still looking for a piece to fit the front deck, so I have to wait on that anyway...
(As good of an excuse as I could come up with on such short notice)
Blue sure looks good, and add some orange pinstriping and a couple of Florida Gator stickers and it will be perfect!
