Not only is it unfair it's misleading and leads to wrong decisions.
Why not compare a JD 2520 with a MF GC2310? Same difference!

Fair question, I will not own another John Deer. I have a push mower bearing that name and I have called it other names. I don't care who made that darn thing, it has john's name on it. End of that story.
No MF dealer in my area. I have been at the New Holland dealer and they do not make a SCUT TLB and their 20 hp cut is overpriced as was the Red Mahindra 2015 at yet another dealer. Since I had earlier ruled them out I guess I wasn't iinterested in any more models. I have literally run out of dealers in my area and these two are my last chance. I will probably end up with the one I want......not need. But thanks to all for the comments even if they point out another one of my mistakes and believe me i have made plenty.

Rim, A friend bought a John Deere snowblower that would start fine unless it snowed. In frustration, he took it back to the Deere dealer, and told them if they couldn't fix it, that it was going to run like a Toro! :D

Hi Bearhawk,
That's a very good question and deserves an honest answer. Five years ago, I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease and it's of course progressive.
rim
Rimshot- Sorry to hear about the Parkinson's. My aunt has it, she was diagnosed 16 years ago. She has been through numerous medicines, some work better than others. She is getting a bit shaky, needs a 24 hr care giver, partially because she doesn't take her meds like she is suppose to... but she is forging on with her life like nothing is different. Sometimes she needs her walker, sometimes her wheel chair, most of the time she walks around slowly. Sounds like you have the same attitude, good for you. The attitude is 90% of what keeps you going longer. My prayers are that they find a cure before your disease progresses to the point where she is. So... get the tractor that fits you and your needs the best and HAVE FUN with it.

Thanks very much, Jim. I've been very blessed in my life. I was born in this fine country, ive got a wonderful family and I think as soon as I find my heavy equip-operator's license they'll let me drive one of these mini tractors off the show room floor. How can anybody beat that?

I got mine from Cracker Jacks. If you'd like I could eat another box to help you look for yours. :D

Thanks Davy,

Since I held my cool the first time and did not the second time I deleted the post. It's the thought that counts but it's the thought that perhaps I misunderstood.

Rimshot, I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis. That is a tough thing to live with. Just as there are no good guarantees, there are no bad ones either though. As I told my cardiologist, "your concern is only one of the things that affect the quality, and length of my life. There are hundreds, and perhaps thousands of other things that also affect the outcome that I encounter every day. You are paid to be concerned with only one aspect of my life, and so naturally place great importance on that. I, on the other hand, have my whole life to consider, and my job is to make that life as full, and rewarding as possible." In your case, we all will pray for a positive, and happy outcome.

Make sure that you don't overlook your inner desires in the process of justifying this purchase! Oftentimes being on the tractor we really want to be on is more important than selecting the perfect one for the job. I strongly suspect that many of the upgrades you see here are because the first tractor bought is the one people could justify, and the upgrade is what they really wanted in the first place. Some folks get great enjoyment out of puttering away at a job with a small tractor since the journey, for them is more important than the destination. Others are focused on getting the job done, and really appreciate using equipment that does that with the least amount of fuss. I worked in the woods with my BX for example, but sometimes I had to "make a road" first because of clearance issues..... not a bad thing always.

Thanks ChuckinNH. I am completely at peace with it all and very thankful for everything. As for my tractor obsession somebody said I don't know what I want. (big chuckle) It's so, but I got it narrowed down to two specific models/class and I am just lovin to be in the hunt. Nobdy can gig me for that.

Many of the tasks I have listed can be handled by a BX. The BX would be fine. But I would not want to limit my capability to that. I know enough people who are always involved in a project around here. Maybe they will want me to dig footings for an addiition and need a backhoe to bailout a crawl space. The CK definitely would offer some more leeway for that than the BX. Yet I don't regard the CK as overkill either especially since I like the Kioti tractor and the CK20 just so happens to be the smallest TLB Kioti makes. I believe of all the compact tractor company's out there, Kioti has the best chance of becoming the next big threat Kubota has to look forward to. I don't feel I have to rule out the CK20 any more that I have to rule out the BX and i don't care if one is classified as a SCUT or a CUT either.

Thanks for the encouragement and thanks for checking in Chuck. I promise to start a new thread when I purchase this tractor. I hope it occurs sooner rather that later but it is going to happen.
