2 problems. My BX25D rolls on a bit when I let off the go pedal which no other Kubota ones with HST have done previously and I've had a few to compare to. When I press brake it doesn't stop.......brake isn't there...they moved to wrong (left) side. Never used brakes other than to lock when getting off before. Didn't have to since letting off pedal stopped it. Now for close work like lifting a plow hanging off the front bucket into someones truck I needed precise control. Had to keep left foot on brake and right foot on go pedal. Didn't like.

Does your BX25D stop immediately after pedal released or keep rolling a bit?[/QUOTE]

Op;

To clear this up-for me... Will do to help clear for you since you don't have a new BX25D to answer my question.

Is it a problem creeping when letting off the HST As in original post, it doesn't immediately stop when I let off the pedal as all of the other over 15 Kubotas has done

Or a problem when tractor is already stopped? No

You talk about both therefore it leads me to believe that you have an issue in both scenario's. It wasn't me talking, it was others talking that probably don't own a BX25D

Thanks

Hope this has clarified for you. I know you don't have an answer since only a current owner of a new BX25D will. Looks like at least 3 of us have the same issue and sure more will respond that own a BX25D new model along with those that don't. I'll also will stop by Barlows and see if the other new BX25Ds they just got in do the same thing.

Ok thanks!

My b2920 will do this depending on what range it is in.

I just use the HST pedal at all times even to brake with-will reverse direction lightly to provide braking effect.

I thought you had a BX25 for a few years. Did you trade/buy another one of the new 25Ds that just came out? How long have you had it?
I have the 'D' for about 18 months.

johnthomas, I just went out and tested my 2 week old BX25D. In low range, 4 wheel drive, 3000 rpm, full speed, on dirt, my tractor takes ~2 feet to stop once I remove my foot from the pedal. At 1500 rpm when easing into my shed, my tractor does not immediately stop when I take my foot off the pedal, it rolls forward a bit. Hope that helps.

Does yours have digital dash and brake on left side with lock pedal on floor? I think they made some changes on later model Ds.

Helps tremendously. Seems to be what's happening on latest BX25Ds and it will take some adjusting to if I can't get it changed. I've owned several Kubotas with HST and they all stop/stopped when pedal released. Had a B2320 geared (my first and last geared) which didn't stop and drove me crazy along with other "differences" until I got rid of it quickly.

My BX-25D creeps a bit, but it's gotten better after fifty odd hours. Personally, I like the left brake pedal for the situations you describe, I can cover the brake and inch forward or back to get things positioned perfectly. I don't think there is anything wrong, I think it's just a little stiff since it's still new. I remember someone was having trouble shifting between High and Low range, and I had suggested that his might be creeping a bit, and the fellow responded that his was the same way. I did grease it a few times, and like I said, it's getting better with more hours on it. It stops just fine, but every once in a while now it will creep a bit.
Good luck with your new tractor!

Jerry

Brake on the left... Yes sir! Digital dash? Have to look. Don't think its digital. First I have to recover from a road trip and celebrations at the Seahawk game!

My BX-25D creeps a bit, creep is different than roll, creep is after stopped and it still moves, rolls is let off, it is supposed to stop but doesn't and keeps going some
but it's gotten better after fifty odd hours. Personally, I like the left brake pedal for the situations you describe I agree if it's going to roll after stopping then yes the brake on the left is better since I have two feet but better is like all of the other HSTs that stop when pedal let off and doesn't move unless go pedal is pressed one way or the other on level ground,
I can cover the brake and inch forward or back to get things positioned perfectly. I don't think there is anything wrong, Yes, it's wrong since all other HSTs stop when the pedal is released and being new isn't an excuse since I've bought 15 new Kubota HSTs and they didn't do it when new

Creep is different than what I'm talking about, when go pedal is released on an HST it should stop
Good luck with your new tractor!

Thanks, Jerry for your input on your BX25D. Gives me a better idea concerning my specific machine. I had bought a BX2350 years ago and stopping in reverse was a neck snapping event. Most people didn't have a problem with it since they had noting to compare it to. I did having owned several Kubota Bs and BXs and knew it was wrong. I got a $500 refund because of it being wrong when I returned the BX2350 and bought a BX2660 to replace it because of the abrupt stop in reverse being wrong. This roll on a few inches after go pedal released is wrong but not as wrong as the issue with the BX2350 neck snap in reverse when go pedal released.
With brake pedal on left side and knowing it's going to happen then it can be lived with but Kubota never came up with a fix on the 50 series and fairly quickly went to the 60 series which did not have the abrupt stop in reverse. They fixed it in production but never released a fix for owners of the 50 series which is why the 50 series bring less money on resale for those that know about the issue.
My RTV1140 will snap your neck forward or reverse if you let off the pedal quick but it can be feathered with the foot unlike the BX2350 which was abrupt after best efforts at feathering and I had experience with several Bs and BXs to know what I was/am talking about. My neighbor has a BX2350 and doesn't complain about it and that makes it OK for him and other satisfied owners.
Dragoneggs says his doesn't roll on after pedal released....hummmm.
