If the system on the tractor is open center (which I believe all Kubotas are), and the valve on the log splitter is too, you could put a set of quick connects at either the input or the output of the aux valve and plug your splitter directly into the system. (Basically in-line the splitter valve with the aux valve.)

I believe he said he had the rear aux kit installed on his kubota, if that is the case he couldn't do that. The rear aux kit adds a second set of valves to run the rear hydro. From the sounds of it, he has two sets of valves, the valves for the rear hydros on the tractor and the log splitter has its own valves. So in order to operate the splitter he has to use both set of valves at the same time. I would think the simplest solution would be to remove the valve on the log splitter. Then he could run the splitter using the valve already on the Kubota. There is no need for two valves.

If the system is open center, then he can do that.. Think of it as adding another valve to the set of aux valves (like stack-able valves connected via hoses as opposed to being bolted together). Granted it wouldn't be the easiest solution if the aux valves are plumbed with steal lines, but may be worth it any way for any future uses that may come up.

If the valve for the splitter has kick-back, he would probably want to keep the splitter valve anyway. And it's probably more convenient to use the valve mounted on the splitter so you are standing where the operator is intended to stand for that splitter instead of running back and forth to the tractor valves.

But anyway.. Do what ever is most convenient for you.

Same kit. It fits all the 60 series BX's except the BX25 due to interference with the BH.

Thanks for all your responses. I ran it with a big zip tie on the tractor lever the other day for an hour or so and it ran without any trouble other than some leaking oil at the rear connector and also funnily enough the loader quick connector at the front which it has never done before.

I guess I'll just need to top up the hydraulic oil and live with the leaks.

I have never had any leaks after re-tightening a few things right after the intial install. I would guess the leak at the back is just a fitting that needs a little more turn of a wrench, maybe the same on the FEL QC, but it's odd it started leaking at this point.

Looks like they make a single remote kit for about twice the price. Don't know how it hooks up or where, but here's the kit number
