Harv, thanks for the reminder. Things have been busy. Finally catching up on my photos.

Here's a photo of the first SIP going on at the NE corner. It's a 4 1/2" thick panel (3 1/2" of foam between 1/2" OSB). Panels are 4' wide and extend from the sill to the eave, and fastened with 7" galvanized pole barn nails.

Photo of a smaller panel cut to fit around the ridge beam and getting ready to be lifted into place.

That fellow in the green shirt on the right in the first picture doesn't look like he is happy with something that is going on. Is that a badge on his chest? The green "uniform" looks like the MA Environmental Police. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif Hope that it isn't and that he is just a casual visitor playing side walk supertendent... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

That's the father of the owner, and he's giving a pointer to some of the less experience crew.
Here's a picture of the entire NH crew, taking a bow after raising the frame.

It does look like fun. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

And the cardinal rule on fun is, you have to share.

There are but a few things I want to do before I die. Building a timber frame is one.

But then if it comes around that I don't get to go before I complete the list of things I want to do, well, heck, I'll live forever. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks for thinking of us. And keep the pictures coming.

Sorry for the delay in posting more pics. Here's another batch.

The gable end panels are all on, and that's good progress. Here's and end of day shot from the hill just south of the barn.

Now that we've got most of the walls up, the dogs can come visit for the afternoon. They've been curious but with the heavy equipment it hasn't been safe to let them hang out like they'd like to .

I noticed that the trees are turning colors, so you had better get going, or you will have snow on the floor soon..... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
