Deerlope,
Just remember, this is not an uptown estate, - just Ma & Pa Kettle farm. This is a homebrew dog house that works very well, other than we need to add a shut down on the flue when the temp gets too high. We have lots of bells and whistles (horns, temp sensors, big bell). To answer your question, it's a TSC Hot Blast furnace rated at 140,000 BTU(?).
In this 4' X 6' all metal and insullated (double wall construction), the cold (outside)air is drawn across the furnace, to prewarm it before it goes into the furnace. We have piped the warm air in through the basement in our bi-level home. We have an 8' open stairway that allows the heat to travel up very easily, and gives us a positive pressure inside the house. There's good and bad for being outside - cold to add fuel, but the insurance man really likes it, and it helps hold our homeowners premiums down. Let us know if you need more info. Yugo
P.S. See attachment for our covered wagon wood trailer - no longer have to remove tarp to get to the cord of wood.
