The park cabins will be amazing seeing as the Deer blind came up so well .

A man who takes such pride in all that he does will leave a lasting impression on the world .

In many parts of the world you would have an entire family living in there by now.

I haven't talked to Eddie yet, or my wife for that matter, but I was thinking about moving down there.

Oh man Eddie,
Your mansion/blind is coming out fantastic. It's super nice!
You say you're going to paint it green? That will be a good choice for the outdoors look. I can see that in the future, the kids are going to have a ball playing in it as a tree fort/playhouse.
You did a great job. I'm looking forward to the paint photos and the other special things you mentioned.

My camera died on me, so I bought a new one today. It's a Cannon Power Shot A470 from Walmart for $99. I carry one with me all the time for work and also around the land. They don't last, but I don't expect them to.

Last week I got most of the siding done, and finished it yesterday. Then did the caulking all along the top and worked my way down. I didn't finish caulking, but I got enough done to pain the trim today. Steph and I wen to Lowes and picked out the interior colors. She and Alissa primed the interior yesterday, so today was a paint day. It took one and a half gallons of primer to do all the OSB. Much more then I expected.

As you can see from the siding, I have a board and batton look to the bottom with the 4x8 sheets of Hardi and 1x4 Hardi trim. The the top half is Hardi lap siding.

The door that will be removed when the playground is built, is painted the same as the trim. I have a Texas Star that I'm going to put on it, but for now, that's the finished look for that.

If you look out the window in the picture of Steph, you can see Lake Marabou. It's pretty close to the blind and one more thing to watch while in there.

The last picture is of the food plot and the feeder in the background. If you look close, you can see the corn on the ground. After shooting that hog last week, the rest sort of disappeared. LOL

I started to put on today. It's called a Gel Stain from Minwax in Aged Oak color. It's like painting on jello. The variations make it look more natural to me, which is part of why I like it so much.

If the weather holds, I'll have the rest of it stained tomorrow. I'm starting at the top and working my way down.

After the stain is on and dry, I will clear coat it with Helmsman Satin finish.

JC,

. . . and a keg tap in the bottom piped up to the wet bar in the blind. In winter, Eddie won't even need a cooler to keep the keg cold.:D

He's in Texas, he doesn't like working if it is colder than 50 or 60, he's going to need a refrigerator to keep it cold.:D

Got off to a late start today. It was 41 degrees at 9am, so I waiting until 11 when it was in the 50's. High today was close to 60, so it was a prerry rough day weatherwise.

The stain is all on, and now I just need to wait for it to dry so I can seal it with the clear coat. I'll do that next weekend.
