Sumtimes they aint a fork in them family trees where they should be one.
I refer to eastern Ky as my wife’s incestral homeland.
This girl does live in eastern Ky.
No cell phone, no computer, nor internet.
Mail and landline only.
I am scheduled to meet with the attorney on the 14th and will convey all the tips and advice from here.
I knew that if anyone could help it would be this eclectic group on TBN.

If the potential father's personal items are still available, there should be plenty of DNA on a razor or toothbrush. Another potential source might be medical labs tests.

Wasn't eastern Kentuckey Hatfield McCoy territory? I know young lady who's grandfather was raised by Devil Antse Hatfield.

I "hacked" my shin on my grapple, again, yesterday. Spread a little DNA on that darn tooth. But, then again, I know all the relatives I want to know.

Went too far back on my fathers side once. Seems they were all highwaymen. And, I don't mean repairing asphalt roads.
I go out of my way to avoid some relatives.

Quick, wash off the grapple Mr. Oosik...use alcohol and chlorox!

My great uncle, never married, now deceased, apparently had a daughter with a woman he dated but she refused to marry him.
I am trying to help her prove that she is his child. So far all the dna labs we have contacted say they need someone that was closer kin to the father than the cousins that are available to test.
Does anyone know of a lab or have had experience in this matter.
I hope you find the answers. It is a sad story for many people.

As others have suggested, put HER DNA in Ancestor.com, though I never will, so it is easy for me to say. 😁

Also might put YOUR family DNS into the website to see what pops up, though given the age of the people you are trying to find that might be a dead end too.

There might be an unknown family member out there that is close enough for a match. Maybe.

Did you find any of the great uncles baby teeth? There would be DNA in them.

Good Luck,
Dan

I think @mag410 and @dmccarty have the right idea...
Find some first hand DNA. Clothes, hair brush, etc.
Good luck.
