Full synthetic

Just about everything I have gets either a full synthetic or synthetic blend at first oil change. I have never had any issues. Gassers, Diesels, lawn mowers, portable generators, gator, ... all of them.

X2, no worries at all.

It's already been said, above, that you can use it immediately. But I want to add another thought. A lot of these "rules" we hear repeated are old and way out of date. No longer valid, if they ever were. Most manufacturers list synthetic, or recommend it.
Some of the last holdouts on this were small engine manufacturers. I think Kubota took a long time to update their manuals too. Now, most have changed their stance and list synthetic oil as at least an option. I recently noticed Briggs and Stratton had an updated owners manual available online for one of my engines, and I compared it to my original. They went from recommending SAE 30 for warm temps and 10w30 for cold temps in the old manual, to now recommending synthetic for the full temperature range. They even added footnotes with warnings against using dino 10W30 in warm temps, and warning about engine damage if using sae30 in cold temps. Only synthetic (5w30 or 10w30) is shown for use in the full range of temperatures with no warnings.

Neither my current nor my past Kubota dealer stocks synthetic oil for Kubota oil changes. Only offer conventional. I just hit the 300 hour point on my L and I'm interested in the same thing, switching over. Though with my under 100 hour annual use, and annual oil changes, not sure it matters what I put in there, within reason.
I rarely have to start the engine when it's really cold out, not where I live. But I've been using Mobil 1, Pennzoil Platinum, variety of good synthetics on most of my equipment.

I've been putting Rotella T6 in EVERYTHING, tractor, splitter, generator, mower, etc. I'd put it in my Tundra too but it doesn't come in 0w, although my manual says I can, but I just might get a little less gas mileage.

I changed the oil and filter on my 4010 at 13 hours to full synthetic. Don't know why. Guess I had rocks in my head.

Do it at your 50 hour change. I've switched a very old 240D Benz and an equally old Gravely to synthetic with absolutely no problems. Only problem I ever had was on our 1996 Tacoma when I sucked out the old power steering fluid and put full synthetic in. The rubber line going onto a steel line blew off. Had to put a clamp on the rubber line.

The only thing I have seen, where they don't recommend a drop in switch to synthetic, is an air compressor.

You can switch a new compressor, right over. But, a flush is recommended, if the compressor has been used with regular low carbon, non detergent oil.

And, since the flush solvent only seems to come in 5 gallon pails, it's very uneconomical to do.

I am sure though, some people will say they switched theirs, without problems.
