How Strong is the JD Cab's Glass

Nope. All four sides have identical markings. Windshield is flat, doors and rear glass are curved. So I'm thinkin' it's cuz the front is fixed and framed, and the other 3 sides are hinged and frameless. Here's what I found:

Pilkington
Tempered
43R-001546 (which I'll speculate is the glass type)
E1 (inside a square) followed by AS2-M550 DOT614 (safety standards?)
e1 (inside a circle) followed by 000288 with a 0 centered underneath (another safety standard?).

Hopefully somebody smarter than me can run with these numbers and come up with more specifics as to the lamination versus tempered versus safety glass aspects

That kind of info will be helpful if someone can decipher it.

This very much surprises me. I sure would have thought that the windshield would have been laminated.

I've used my 4720 quite a bit in the woods, and had a few limbs strike the glass at a glancing blow and no problems yet. (fingers crossed). I bought it used, and when it arrived with 760 hrs on it, I was giving it the initial once over. I did find two small 1/4 to 1/2 inch squares of tinted glass behing the seat. So... someone had broken a glass at sometime in the past. I thought at first, it was probably the back glass. After looking more closely, it appeared the weatherstrip around the right side door glass had about a 3 inch gap just below the bottom hinge. I pulled the weatherstrip off the edge of the glass for about 3 feet, streched it a little and the ends joined up perfectly. If the previous comments about the original weatherstip being one piece, it must have been the right side door glass that was broken.

If I'm not mistaken my windshield does have some slight curve to it as well and the sides and back.

I did find this in a google search.
