When i watched it, i wondered, where is some weight for the front end. I wont EVER do that for a few reasons, 1. if the tractor didnt kill me, my parents would, 2, i doubt my baby Yanny could ever pull that much, and 3. i woundnt ever abuse my equipment in that way. i do agree it is interesting to watch people do that because it shows how safe of an operator i am in comparison. I would have enjoyed it more if there was a ROPS in place as well as Weights and a seat belt. I keep all of these on my Yanny at all times to keep me safe. I wish you all a safe and Merry Christmas.

From 1:00 to 1:04 you can see the underside and there looks to be something like a wheely bar under whatever he has the logs chained to.

Take a look.

Hi again,

Just wanted to wish everyone the best for the Holidays and a special hello to those who remember me from the past...been about 4 years I think...time flies by...I do remember all of you guys!

My BX2200 and B2910 Kubotas are still happy workers...I am in the process of doubling my property from 4 to 8 acres...neighbor died...we will miss him...property looks like it is coming our way as a purchase from the estate...

Enjoy the holidays...be safe...no tractor wheelies please! I do suffer tractor lust for the chains that guy had on the back tires though...:)

Now for me back to work tomorrow after two weeks of vacation.

Have fun! Life is too short not to!

Not entirely clear what is under/behind, but logs (plural) pretty much have to be LIFTED with the 3 pt., i.e. you don't have an option of "at the drawbar", the butt ends are carried.

Then; I guess there is a balance point, as the tractor front lifts the logs lower.
I think THAT is the skill, there might even be a stability as the logs touch down.
Don't know, don't want to participate in an experiment to find out.

Great to hear from you Henro. If you're doubling your acreage you'll hopefully have a lot more seat time.

Good to hear from you again Henro! I've wondered from time to time what you were up to. I'm glad to hear that everything is good with you, and the family!

what I hate about these video's is that i spend 20 min looking @ the others that pop up. To say the least he was using every bit of his luck up on one pull

I have to admit I would go "the other way".

Rather than abuse my equipment as in this video I would rent a larger machine to do the work. I might even get a machine some would consider overkill just to have fun with such a large machine.

For example, I think Big Muskie would be a nice safe machine to drag those logs! :D

For people who don't know what Big Muskie is look here.

I not only know what Big Muskie was, I had the pleasure of seeing it in operation. Sadly, the only thing left is one of its buckets. It's about an hour's drive from home in Ohio.

Agree or disagree I'd never let him near ANY of my machines, not even a little red wagon.

That guy has coordination and great feel for the tractor. Eviidenced by the absence of his or another parents young son or daughter sitting on the hood he also has portrays better judgement that some on this forum. What do I care if he dies in the process, I don't, but the guy has some talent and I would guess a few litres of alcohol floating around in his system.
