That has to be the lightest F-350 in the world. Heck, my Nissan Titan weighs 5,600#.

I have had 2 F-350's. Both were SRW 4x4 Diesels. The 7.3L one was a regular cab long bed and weighed 7,200# and my current 6.0L short bed extended cab weighs 7,600#. That is with 3/4 tank of fuel in each but either way thats over 1,000# heavier than you say.

Heck, even my 05 Dmax 4x4 weighed over 7,000#

By the way a friends dually F-350 6.0 4x4 weighs about 7,800#.

Chris

that does seem very light for a 350. My 03 GMC dmax 3500 weighs 7400 on certified scales. I don't remember if the fuel tank was full or not.

Agree, I have (had, they are thermal and you can't read them anymore :( )weight slips from the local landfill that gave my 3/4 ton 4x4 Cummins a tare weight of over 9k.

Now I don't know that I trust the scale.. but 6k isn't even in the ballpark. My wifes x5 weighs over 5k.

edit: this is the problem with the 'safety police' and the towing questions - people often grossly underestimate how much stuff weighs.

edit 2: not trying to troll, back to the OP - good point, I'm sure my factory bottle jack is usless to jack up my truck, I'll be picking up 'something' shortly. thanks.

That does not seem right either or you have the heaviest 3/4 ton in the world. I have never seen one that weighs over 7,500# and I have weighed nearly 100 of them in my years. Heck, the Dodge 3/4 tons only have a 9,000# or so GVWR so that would mean you could not even haul home the groceries without being over weight.

I would check that again. I bet its 7,000#. Either way it does not matter if you are paying by the pound to dump. Just subtract the weight in versus the weight out and pay the man. Now if you get pulled over for suspicion of being over weight I would not bust out that slip to prove anything.

Yeah I don't trust it, although I had more than one. Most were in the 8700, 8800 range. The only thing that worries me is a buddy with a '99 f350 has a scale slip from the same place for 75xx ish. There was a good period of time between the reading so nothing scientific, and of course I put my truck on a major diet since then, so no repeating the test.

Lol. The thing of Internet legends.

What about a dually truck with a gooseneck trailer attached? Or a large equipment trailer.

Aaron Z

any time I have my trailer I also have a hi lift farm jack with me too.

Merry Christmas...my F350 weighs 6000 lbs WITHOUT the 38 gallons of diesel, plus the gooseneck trailer...(dead in the center of the bed) that weighs 4500 lbs EMPTY, plus the weight of whatever tractor/car/truck, etc that happens to be on it...sooooo....yeah, it'll weigh way more than a measly 4K lbs....PS: the gooseneck hitch is good for 30,000 lbs...soooo, I may be OK with just 12 ton....BobG in VA

Yea your right , i thought we were just talking about a f350. I still think it would work. But throw on a GN trailer and all that weight and no you cant jack it up, you will probably blow out the Jack.
