JD 2305 vs. BX24

hey look at the b3030 its about 20k equiped with FEL and BH, there was a post somewhere on here about it. I was way off on the b21 I found some notes i wrote down while at the dealer and i have "b21 27000.00" thats a big difference in price. I wish now I had the 3030 but then i could not get through some walk gates like i can with the bx. I use mine for my business and need the size to do residental work. I do not mow at all with mine, in fact im buying a new zd321 in a couple months. Looks like the great credit deals are gone. 5.99 at jd and 6.25 at bota ugg.
have fun

I am suffering greatly with my tractor decision making process. Oh the horror. The mental anguish is about all that I can take. Weather here the last two days has been awful, all I can do is sit inside and "research" which tractor I really want. I find myself daydreaming of days in the seat of a new tractor. Anyways, to add fuel to the fire, I was now thinking of moving from a SCUT up to a CUT. I am going to look at a JD 2320 and 2520 and the Kubota B series. I know that the SCUTs are tough little machines, but I am having thoughs that I may want a larger tractor immediately following the purchase of the SCUT, and no I don't want one of each. So, any thoughts on the 2320, 2520, or the B series and how they compare.

I love my 2320. It has some features not found on the smaller b series Kubota's like position control. I'll try and post some new pictures I just recently took of some work it has done (fencing and Brush clearing).

---You may want to start a new thread though, as this one os over 50 posts long and getting tired. I'd start another thread asking what you just asked and you'll get more responses.

Here are some photo's of an 40 foot by 250 foot are that I have been clearing with the 2320. It was very overgrown with small trees etc. Still have some work to do. I have some more pics I plan to upload o my fenceproject, but do not have them ready yet. Their are someolder photo's of the 2320 and some of my other stuff as well.

Let me know if you have any question about the photo's or the trctor itself...

workinallthetime,
I just stopped by the kubota dealership today and I was looking at a B7610. I think that the B7800, 2630, 3030 may be a little too large for what I have planned. I did get a price on the 7610 and I am just wondering if this dealership is way off compared to the rest of the country. Here is what was quoted:

B7610 w/turf tires
Loader w 50" bucket
BH w/16" bucket
60" mower
Chains
Filled tires

$23,561 delivered + tax

I really liked the added features of the 3030, but I think it may be too big for what I need.

aesanders,
New thread to be started soon, this one does seem to be getting long and tired.

I do not have the little BX but I do have an L48 and I love it!! The JD was good also. I just happened to find mine with 200hrs on it for a good price at a Kubota dealer in Cheyenne. He was a very nice man and very helpful. I do have a Kubota and John Deere dealer, both about 2 miles from my house the family owned Dealer up north was way better to deal with so that is the route I took.
I hope this is helpful to you.

I was at my local JD dealership yesterday buying some stuff for my 2210 and they had a 2305 with a backhoe on it. My first impression was that it looked good then I looked at the size of the bucket and thought that I may be able to take a bigger bite out of the ground with a shovel. So as the salesman was filling out the invoice I asked him what his opinion of the backhoe was and he said it was a nice unit but was slow and figured it would be ok for the ocassional user but if it was to be used on a regular basis it would wear on your nerves quick. It is what it is a small BH on a sub compact tractor. So if you need to use the BH a lot I don't think you will be happy with the JD unit but if you only need it every now and then I would save the 5 grand and rent a full sized BH when you need it.

I actually tested a 260BH. Now I'll have to admit that I have no BH experience, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I thought this was a very nice unit. It will operate at idle. This makes it a perfect hoe for a first-time user. A person could get used to the motions at reasonable and controlable speeds before cranking up the throttle. With the throttle up, I thought the boom movements were scary fast (especially downward with gravity helping). The hoe design is really right off the 110TLB, which is a commercial time-tested design. While I agree this isn't the machine I would choose for constant use, for many it will be a perfect alternative to the rental yard. The big thing Deere did here is make it backward compatible with ALL 2210/2305 machines in the field. This means an owner of a machine not delivered with the hoe, unlike the Kubota BXs, can at a later date add this implement. Kudos Deere!

One of the main reasons I orderd my 2305 was the option to get the BH. I did not want to lay all the cash out at one time. My thinking in a year or so I can get the BH and it wont hurt so much. Also the 2305 has a little more room for me then the BX.

You can do the exact same thing with a Simplicity.
