I made the Mistake of buying the CC garden tractor a year ago instead of a bx1500 like I was going to.
Nothing wrong with the CC - just wasn't the right outfit for me.
************
I want to pay my Kubota Dealer a visit tomorrow or Monday.
I'm looking for a deal on 2 tractors.
The models I want to discus with him are the.
BX1500
BX1850
G 2160
GR2100
I also want to discuss these attachments.
Front Blade used
Tiller used.
New or used 54'' mower
**************
If me and the dealer can come to terms the CC with the new front blade and new rear tiller will probably be going up for sale shortly.

I also maybe the mistake of buying an CC. I could have just burned the money. It would have been much less work for me! That thing is the biggest piece I have ever owned. It has less then 100hrs and has 2 new decks 6 spindles a new drive pulley new drive belt 2 new blade belts and now the pto clutch is going out i belive. oh and the factory can care less. I should have just returned it while i could.

sorry didnt mean to go off on a tangent!

1) The price between a x700 and a kubota BX, The deere dealer doesn't really want to sell anything.
Where the kubota dealer is actually working to make a sale.
That makes a big difference to me!
2)I was just worried about it being more work than it was on my CC lt1050 to mow.
4) that is what i wanted to hear!
----------------------
1*What amazes me about this is a Sub - Compact is 5 times the tractor a garden tractor is
2*You will find it easier to mow with a S-compact than you ever had it with the CC 1050 LAWN TRACTOR.
The power steering makes a big difference in comfort and maneuvering around.
Also a S-cut is 2 rungs farther up on the ladder than your CC1050 lawn tractor.
4* Now I see why you've gotten hung up on the maneuverability of Sub-Compacts.
you've been comparing them with your CC 1050 LT but the 2 types of tractors are worlds apart.
You were seeing a distorted image.

Well I went and looked at the whole kubota line today.
I looked at the GR's they were nice but smaller then i thought. I looked at a G model with the gas kubota engine. that was very nice. then I looked at the BX2350. That is nice. with a 60"mmm I was just over 9k where the JDx700 was 11300. There is a big difference in machines! Unfortunitly now I just have to figure out if I want a bx2350 with mower. or do I spend the money and get a bx2400 and a 60"mmm?

Is there anything else to look at? there is also a new Holland dealer by me but i have never looked at there products before?

3*i am leaning towards a bx or maybe an x500. but then again the JD is almost the price of the BX
----------------------------------------------------
1*I didn't make the mistake in buying A CC ; I made my mistake by not buying the Kubota BX1500 I really wanted in the first place.
The CC GT2554 I bought is a real fine Machine but it wasn't the tractor I really wanted.
I would rate the CC 2500 and 3000 series as real tanks .
I feel they are as tough built as the JD x300 x500 and x700 garden tractors.
Dollar for dollar and bang for the buck they are hard to beat with any other garden tractor.
Where you went wrong is the CC 1050 is one of CCs Big Box Store entry level Lawn tractor products same as the John Deers and all them other brands you see in the box stores.
2*Had you done that and took the money and went to a CC dealer and bought a 2500 series like mine you would probably have liked that CC very much.
3*I wouldn't advise the X500 .
You already under bought when you got the CC 1050 and weren't happy with it.
Why repeat the same mistake and be disappointed again by buying the x500 garden tractor when a BX would better server you??
Go for the BX and be done with it and I don't think you'll ever look back.

1*Nnow that's a good day!
I was at my kubota dealer to day too.
Picked up 2 fuel filters for the BX23.
The Salesman was busy with another customer so will have to wait until Monday to talk to him about buying a couple of tractors.
2*I know I want 1 bx.The second one is between A diesel BX GR or G.
3*I like the looks of the g series better than the gr. series.
4*The BX2350 is the same tractor as my BX23 except the BX23 has a Back Hoe.
*Now that's what I call JD reverse pricing. The BX2350 should be $11300 and the X700 should be $9000.
5*Yeah: A big difference between garden tractors and Subcompacts!
6*;) Not really cause now you get a chance at a BH.
I paid $15500 for my BX23 with 60'' mmm FEl and BH.
The same tractor in a BX2230 with the same equipment but no BH was $11700.
I stole the Backhoe for $3800 more than the price of the BX2230.
I'd get the BH while I had the chance.
You can use it to dig out the stumps after you thin out some of those trees.
7*I think that about covers it.

So on to the next question. other then the price why would you buy a certain bx model? such as bx 1850 versus 2350 etc...

maybe the better question would be is there a reason to buy one versus the other?

Will one do something the other will not?

A JD X500 is a big step down from either a Kubota G or BX. The X500 is a SLT- (Super lawn tractor.) It's basically what the Cub Cadet 1500 models are plus 4WS, power steering and better engines. But still with all that just a thin framed full belt driven lawn tractor.

It doesn't take long to see the feature comparisons between Deere and Kubota like models then to look at prices to see what a bargain the Kubota machines really are. The quality is there, (This is a department where unfortunately Cub Cadet, tractors I've always liked, has been lackluster lately) they are made in the USA, and especially with the Kubota engined models they have the long life. $9k still seems like a lot to spend on a tractor, but a Kubota BX really would be a good long term investment you won't likely regret.

Which one did you like the best : The G or the GR SERIES ?
Why did you like it better?
Did you check out the BX1850?They're sweet.I was looking at them while at the dealers getting filters.
What kind of prices did you get on the G and GR series?

Yes it does seem that way! Of the JD i really liked the x700 but there prices hurt. were the JD 455 that expensive when they were new?

The kubota does look like a very nice tractor, and the prices make them look even better. The only complaint I would have about them at this point is there paint. Every one i have seen the paint is starting to fade , and these are on brand new ones! The paint really doesnt matter to me but when you look at a new piece of equipment you wonder what it will look like after 5 years?

I liked the more modern look of the GR. It is a very good looking mower! Unfortantly the model, GR2000, they had there was a gas engine and also a kouler engine and also a 48" deck. I am starting to have problems with my kouler courage engine at 100hrs so i would rather stay away from them. I also need a deck larger then the 48" deck it had on it.

Then there was the G model with the kuota gas engine and a 60" deck sitting next to it. the sales man started up both and while they were next to each other, it was just amazing! The Kubota gas engine was SO MUCH quieter, smother, and stronger running engine! I did not get to mow with the G but I did drive it around to see how manuverable it was and I was amazed at it. It handled wonderfully, was very quick and the power steering, oh so nice.

I guess comparing it to my CC LT1050 you can see my amazement between them! I would have purchased the G model in a second if the price hadnt been so close to a BX. The dealer didn't have any interest in selling it his prices were high in my option.

So now I am on to the BX either a 1850 or 2350. I would prefer a 2350 because the 1850 will not run the 60" deck. and the prices i have been getting are very close.
