Buying Advice Kubota B8200

   / Kubota B8200 #11
I have owned a b8200 for a few years. It's really just a step up from a garden tractor. It's to light to do real ground engagement work. Also the whole steering box is about the size of my fist. Mine was a newer box and one turn on the pavement and the box broke appart.

Also the hour meters on these are only 3 digits so is it 1452hr, 2452hr, 3452hr or more? It surely isnt 0452hr because that unit does look painted. The wear on the pedals and floor boards can tell you alot. Prety much every kubota of this era has a 3digit hour meter and all claim to be under 1,000hr

I'm sorry $12k is not a good deal. $12k is prob about that that unit sold for brand new.

Does yours have a loader and backhoe on it? Mine with both, and loaded rear tires, can push and pull real hard and leave ruts everywhere you go. If you're pulling 3pt implements (no backhoe) and also dont have a loader and also don't have filled tires or, worst case, dont have 4wd, i can see it having a pretty low limit on 3pt pulling power. But add weight to it and it will do what you need. (y)

Loader yes. It originally didnt have loaded rear tires but it was so terrible the loader was nearly unusable with out liquid filling the rear tires.

I mean it's better than a garden tractor but we are talking about a $12k machine here that's nearly 35yrs old..I would expect it to be a bit better. It's just to small, light duty and 19hp isnt that much.

That's fair, it sounds like you just need a bigger machine for the things you want to do. Im a real big fan of the one I have, but i don't do 3pt or PTO work with it so the low HP doesnt affect me much, and with 4wd and low range i have not had any problems pushing or pulling. Unlike some small 'tractors' ive seen (like a 1025r lol) it will at least sit there and spin and dig all 4 tires down into the dirt if it cant push or pull something instead of stalling the engine, so that's something! :ROFLMAO:
