I don't know why every dealer does not read these or other forums.
If my living was selling and servicing tractors I would at least take the time to scan the posts every few days just to keep up. There should be no excuse for a dealer to not know about the cracking fender issue by now.

Me too... If I sold anything, I would guarantee I would be in the know... Especially with the Internet available...

I'm almost embarassed for car salesmen or the Kubota dealers when I hear they give bogus info, or play dumb that they aren't aware of the issues at hand....

Is kubota replacing all BX fenders of the old design or just the ones that break/crack. I only weigh 160 lbs so I haven't had any problems YET. I just hope the fenders don't crack after the warranty is over?

I wish Kubota would keep us better informed.

Yes I would have been far better off with the BX23. Oh well, There are other tractors like the Deere

I just went to the Deere after I sold my old BX. Now because of BX fenders and battery covers I knew I would never be happy even with replacements. The JD2305 is plastic but it is great, I think a cow could walk across my floor board and it would be okay. Sorry but one more turned green

Got a call from my dealer yesterday. He wants me to swap out my battery cover even though I haven't really complained about it. It's a little loose, not as bad as some I've heard of on here. Anyway, he has a new replacement for me, and I'll pick it up this week.

My point in this is Kubota has stepped up and taken care of it's customers...at least my dealer did, and he sure couldn't do it without support from Kubota. This is service, and actually is more than I expected. I truly don't understand why some of you seem so down on Kubota over this. They've acknowledged the issues, came out with fixes and are even proactively taking care of some issues...I'm proof of this. If my fencder breaks, I know I'll be taken care of...I might even be able to get it taken care of before the fact if I pushed it.

When was the last time a car dealer called you to take care of an issue you haven't complained of???? I've bought many new cars...never happened.

*Flame suit ON* Flame away.... :)

Unfortunately, neither Kubota nor my dealer have "acknowledged the issues" to me.

Some on this forum have reported that their replacement fenders are the same as the original.

Did you read accounts of dealers denying any knowledge of fender problems?

If none of this bothers you, maybe you're blessed with an attitude so positive that you will be happy and satisfied, no matter what. You're a lucky man, Charliebrn.

You gotta have some perspective on this. We have seen about 1 in 10 of the machines that we have sold with this issue. Its not serious enough for anyone to be jumping up and down about. Its very possible that a dealer could not know about it because none of their customers machines have their fenders break. You can't expect everyone to know about this because the problem is not very wide spread... it may look that way because it only takes 3-4 vocal people to making a handful of posts to give the appearance of a major issue. New parts are shipping and they are all being repaired under warrenty, i am not sure what else you could ask for. It would be pretty dumb for Kubota to call everyone up or mail letters to them reguarding an issue that probably will never effect them.

I just got 4 new BX's in today, all have new fenders and battery covers.

I disagree, I'm not worried of getting it replaced while under warranty, but when it breaks 4-5 years down the road. If they break when they are only a couple months old and it's not below zero, what happens then..

I know this could be very subjective, especially on the condition of the tractor and the relationship of the dealer, but I think Kubota should step up to the plate and send a letter stating that if the fender cracks regardless of the age, they will replace the part for FREE...

They've acknowledged in the first couple of months that they had a design problem with a newly designed plastic fender, so don't let the unfortunate few that bought the new model tractor at a premium price.... be punished when they eventually crack out of warranty....

I feel very strongly that it's a matter of when, not if, they will crack... For those of you that have seen Disney's "Over The Hedge" my tail is wiggling..... :)

I disagree, I think if 10% of the tractors sold are having this problem, it is a problem and it is serious. This model has not been out that long and what percentage of tractors will have cracked fenders in another year or two. My BX2350 is the first tractor I have purchased in 15 years. I spent a lot of money for a good piece of equipment and I expect it to preform as such. I don't want to be worried every time I get on my tractor that it may break. Why should I have to worry about this when it gets out of warrenty. Is this going to reduce my resale value in two years if I still have the original defectively designed fenders on it? If Gm or Ford had this problem with this many machines you know there would be a recall and the problem or potential problem would be fixed. I like this tractor, but to be honest, I wish I would have bought a different model for the piece of mind.
