Kubota Super UDT and filters.

Both my M's were made in Japan but I believe the smaller B series are made in Georgia as is all the attachments and implements that aren't made by Land Pride (Great Plains). The big ones are Japan and elsewhere even today. I also imagine all the engines are made in Japan. Filters come from everywhere, lubricants (domestic) are Valvoline and air filters and housings are Donaldson.

No matter, it's a good product for the most part.

The photos I posted are all of new unsold inventory and taken in 2020 as part of my work responsibilities. They are what they are.

Don't confuse this discussion with facts Rick.

NO slow boat from JAPAN...:)

My point is I can go to the dealer and if the part isnt in their stock I have never had to wait more than a day to get a part. That includes parts for my 25 year old Kubota. That doesnt appear to be the experience of some forum posters for their TYM/LS/Mahindra/Branson/Bobcat tractors.

There is only a slight bit of confusion here. But thanks for reminding me. Are you all good over in Misery?

I opted to take the photos down, the point has been made.

Things are well over here my friend. Fertilized my new seeding yard a couple weeks ago. So this Summer I'll be bitching about how often I have to mow...….

I'm going to change all the fluids on a used M5400 I just bought. I'm starting with the tranny/hydraulic fluid as it's currently low.

My manual specs Kubota Super UDT. Local dealer quoted me $118 for five gallons! And I need 10.5 gallons!!! Is there a comparable product people use Luke UTF or PermatranIII?? Online I can only findSuper UDT2, what's the difference??
Also quoted me $41 for a filter, of which I'd need two. My manual doesn't give a part number, but I'm hoping I can find one online for less? Thanks for y'all help.
There is NOTHING out there as good as Super UDT. I know it hurts. Valvoline Unitrac Hydraulic Oil-3098 could be a replacement, but I don't know if the savings are worth the risk

I've always used Super UDT2 and Kubota hydraulic and hydro filters. I replaced the air filters on my L5740 a while back and was disappointed when I noticed the replacement outer filter was made in China. I think the one I removed (Kubota brand) was made in Germany or maybe Japan. I should have taken a pic so I could remember, but it definitely wasn't China. I guess Kubota is farming out their filter production to the lowest bidder. I'll probably go with a WIX air filter next time around.
