LA364 Loader Quick Coupler

thanks. It looks like the QA sits further down on the bucket than stock does, that bottom pin is almost on the ground.

:confused3:

Not sure what you're referring to. Check out the bottom pic in post 36 - in that pic the QA is attached and locked into the bucket. The bottome pin is not on the ground.

I still have the pin-on buckets I had been using before - I could take a measurement on where the bottom pin location is on those buckets - vs. - the bottom pin location on the new SSQA buckets.

Yea I see what you mean ,with the bucket mounted and sitting level it looks the same height as mine. Looking at the unattached bracket tilted all the way back made it look as tho there's no way it would lock in that far up. I'm hoping for my version to come out quite a bit lighter than your Kubota one but mine probably wont be as indestructible as your stocker.

I think with some careful design and by pulling some non-critical metal out of it - a good 15 pounds and maybe even 20 could be removed from the weight of it - without really impacting it's strength or reliability all that much.

But it would take some careful engineering. For a production piece - that would drive the cost up - probably way up. Kubota is selling these for like $450 (my dealer nailed me for more) . Compare that against what some of the other places that make SSQA adapters for these size tractors are charging - and it looks like a bargain. Part of the reason why Kubota can sell it at that price is that they've put together a design they can churn out with minimal labor.

I don't think there price is unreasonable at all esp when this one on ebay is $300,

there's no way i wouldn't pay the extra 150 for the one like yours.

There's a lot of extra steel in the one in that link you posted that doesn't need to be there. Those are supposed to be "universals" - and you still have to weld brackets onto it to adapt it to the loader. Which will make it weigh even more.

Tried calling the local Kubota dealer today to get a price on a B 1658 quick coupler and they don't even know what I'm asking about, that model # is no where in their system, has anyone else had the same problem and did you have to use a different model number or something like that. To floydc, would like to get some measurements of your quick coupler sometime to see if and how much I would have to remodel that B 1658 to fit onto my L2250 ( Loader# BF400G) Thanks, Dan

I gave my dealer that exact part number and it was loaded in their system. He had to order it, but it fit like a charm.

There is another dealer not far away, guess I will try them. The one I talked to today was no help at all.

Tell them you have a B3200 tractor and see if it comes up when they reference that "B" series tractor.
