1* I would suggest that you consider renting a larger piece of equipment to do the heavy work and then finish up with the BX.
2* What are you going to do with the stumps once you dig them out?
3*
4*Also, consider a dump truck or trailer to move the material. One bucket at a time will be quite tiring and not make the best use of your time.

1*What i'd do.
2*I can take mine to a local land fill for 7 or 8 bucks a pickup load.
3*
4*I bought one of those pick up unloaders for 89 bucks at Wall Mart ( one of the best buys I ever made ) for my dodge D50 and loaded the truck with the BX23 to haul it to my dumping point worked like a charm.

Well I also looked at the "B" series. The one that caught my eye is the B7510HSD, but this thing with a loader will be about the same price as the BX24 and no back-hoe.
:D

1*but this thing with a loader will be about the same price as the BX24 and no back-hoe
2* I can save a couple of grand on the geared tranny and put that towards a possible back-hoe and I don't mind gears from what I read they are stronger overall.
**Anybody have any input on the kubota hydros?
3*If the hydro is as strong and will hold up as long as the geared version I'd probably consider it, but don't mind spending the extra cash on the hydro.
4*Man these are hard decisions.

1* That's part of why I went with the BX23 . Didn't want to give up the BH. Sure glad I didn't!!!
2*I wouldn't give up my Hydro especially for doing loader work.
** Tough as nails
3*go for the hydro
4*Rather involved isn't it?

1*Many of us have done what you need to and a lot more with our BX's.
2*Just one suggestion, That's kind of a long haul to move dirt with a small capacity loader on a short wheelbase machine ... try to take the time to make a nice smooth haul road and keep it dressed up ... it'll make you and the baby tractor happier

1*Take for example the 6/10 acres I grubbed last winter.
2*That's why I used a load handler in my Pickup and hauled the dirt and stuff in it. Made my BX real happy.

My property is similar to yours but it's only a little over 4 acres and so far the BX23 has answered the bell on every task.
I've been steadily cleaning out the fence rows that encircle my property on 3 sides and I'm still on the 1st side but I'm in no hurry :D
I've added a thumb to the BH which is like adding another set of strong hands when it comes to cutting the trees and limbs up. It does OK on grubbing but since I've got so much more to go I'm thinking of adding a light weight grapple to the FEL. I'm researching useing an electric actuator to open/close it as opposed to using hydraulics to keep the cost & weight down.
The addition of a skidplate is also in the works too.
The good thing about the useing a BX22/BX23/BX24 is that after it's worked half the day as a grubber/stump digger/ground leveler, it can be very easily reconfigured into one of the best finish mowers without any using any tools!
I've always said that I'll rent a bigger machine when the need arrises and it just hasn't risen yet :D
My property is the dogleg shaped spread in the center of the pic.

I don't have to do any configuring. I leave the FEL Mower and BH 0n it all of the time.

I would go with the BX. I just picked one up myself a few weeks ago. I also have tons of small stumps like what you showed. I have dug out a bunch to date. No problems at all for the BX. Usually one or two swipes and its out. I was the in the same boat as you, if I went to a bigger tractor I would have not gotten a BH. From what I see, the BH is one of the most important attachments. For that reason I would go with the BX.
