I would take a close look at the front mounted Pump for Identification mine was a Vickers Vane pump many other tractors used gear pumps. maybe the Masseys front pump has good parts availability.
If you can get the #'s off the pump and who manufactured it we can start to look for either a new internal shaft or possibly a replacement pump if the price is right.
The spline clearance can be what causes the coupler failure. never had another problem with the 3000 once that was replaced.
It may also be cheaper to replace the pump complete if you can get the numbers/ brand off of the old one
Well it messed up first, it broke shaft near crankshaft. I put new pump on then. It stripped splines also. I used old pump because I didn稚 want to drill hole through new shaft of pump. I am not sure why splines keep stripping. I am not sure what u mean by splines clearance.
