Yep... as far as I can tell.

Does the un-insulated part of the flame rod continue thru a hole in the burner, and if so how much clearance is there between that hole and the rod?

I just can't tell. It disappears behind the box on the left and I cannot get my hand around it. Or the iPhone camera to 'see' through the hole in the bulkhead that the probes are mounted to. I need a fancy little mirror on a stick but that is where the action is. Are you wondering if it is shorting to ground? I would think I wouldn't get combustion if this was the case.

Kill power, remove the spade from the flame rod, measure the rod to ground. Should be a few "gigaOhms" (OPEN)

Flame rod supposedly goes straight to control board (see page 18, lower left corner of the board)
