MY dog doesn't like the Kubota yet. She thinks the seat is too slick and really hates the diesel noise. :D

My former Lab was getting up in years when I bought my RTV and never showed any interest in going for a ride. My current Lab took to the RTV as a pup and is always eager to hop aboard. However, she will have nothing to do with the RTV when it is running and the dump bed is raised.

I have read that cutting down a rubber stall mat to fit the dump bed helps reduce the sound level. That may help your dog come to enjoy riding with you.

Good idea to help with noise. She's a 9 year city dog retired to us last year so she's still learning. She still thinks she should bit my deer mount in the shop. She gives that buck looks like, "if you were closer, I'd bit your ear". lol

My dog loves to ride in the RTV. Always jumps out if I raise the bed. Waits until it's dropped, then gets back in. :)

Piper barely tolerates the back seat of the truck.

She's a smart dog but was having trouble reading so we got her glasses. Of course she had to pick out expensive frames. 20171113_092645.jpg20171219_112156.jpg

Also, my Lab has a healthy respect for my tractors when they are in use, but she is not terrified by their sounds. However, she is terrified by my ZTR mower (Kawasaki engine) -- she camps in my neighbor's yard whenever I mow.

Steve, Willard don't hang around when I'm mowing either. I don't think he likes stuff flying out from under the deck.

On the other hand he'll follow me all day when I'm brush cutting with the tractor. He figured out early on there are rabbits to be had there!!!! :)

Richard,

I am sure that Pearly would enjoy following me when I am bush-hogging, but I am afraid that she would spot a rabbit and dart in front of the tractor before I could stop. I keep her in her fenced-in lot during that task.
