Nubie here,

Went to the local fair the other day and walked into the Kubota display. Spent some time with the sales staff, and ended up with a L3200Hydro with the 524 loader with 66" quick attach and B77 Hoe with 16" bucket.
I am a G.C. and purchased the tractor for general job site use, some footing excivation, stone handeling, moving lumber with forks and backfilling. General home use also.
The L3800 was a bit over my budget, do you think I made the correct choice?

Welcome and Congrats on the New Kubota. Did you get SS style forks?

You might want to get some front hydraulics later and get a narrow grapple like mine for trash clean up on the jobsite. It will make quick work of mixed trash/junk materiel's. My grapple is lightweight to make better use of your lifting ability. I am sure your tractor will serve you well both on the job and at home.

Hammer Head,

Welcome and congratulations. You will find a thousand tasks for your tractor. You will find yourself needing other attachments as you learn ways to use your new tool. Choose them slowly. You should be able to find used implements. Feel free to ask many questions here.

For your use, there are very few tasks that the L3800 can do any better or faster. So good choice.

Did not get them yet, have a friend with a set. Need to check to see if they will work.

Nice choice ...should serve you well.I worked construction for many years and have owned my own tractors for ten.Best "tool purchased "for the tractor was a thumb for the buck(and a tooth-bar) ,this would be very handy on a construction site.

Congrats on the purchase. Nice sized machine and not too big to be a pain in tight areas and trailering:thumbsup:

I made the same choice a month ago minus the hoe. Been pretty happy with it so far.

Dealer didn't have the gear to ballast the tires yet (New dealer, should finally have the stuff in a week or 2). I'm engineering 3 remotes for a top & tilt kit & spare remote already for my rear blades already (probably not an issue for you with the hoe unless you remove it a lot). And am planning on some work lights on the ROPS when I have free time.

Other than that I've been completely satisfied until I can afford a grand with a cab some day. No regrets saving $1k or whatever it was for 6 less HP. I'm running out of traction well before running out of power. More ballast soon might change that, but I doubt it.
