For a long run of extension cord, 12 ga will carry the load quite well. My battery warmer is only 40 watts.
Do you have a small generator that you could power the block heater and a battery warmer? Just a thought. JonI could do a little clean up. Plow deposit at the end of the driveway etc. but tractor power wouldn't start yesterday.
I had one of those magnet block heaters plugged in for 8 hrs. It turned better but not fast enough to start.
It's been 30 hrs now and I'm about to give it another try before running some errands.
A battery warmer may be in my future but as I'm running almost 200 ft of extension cord I'm reluctant
to plug a 300w block heater AND a warmer on the one cord. I have no idea if it's a bad idea or not.
Thanks for that. I used a similar calculator.400 watts / 120 volts = 3.333 Amps,
60 watts / 120 volts = 0.5 Amps
You shouldn't have any problems
