BP - Congrat's as well. So did I miss what you're doing with the B2320? Didn't see mention of trading it in. Have you become a two tractoring family? Either way, hope it works out for you.

Chuck, I don't trade stuff in. Never had any problem selling things outright.

Life changes. The B2320 was a terrific tractor and will continue to a worker for the fella who bought, a nice guy who lives just 4 miles away. But as our needs change, one adapts. Since I've never experienced a dime's "loss" on selling Kubotas, and granted, that has only been twice, I see no need to not to do whatever is required.

<snip> ... Who in their right mind buys a tractor in the deepest, dead of winter?
I can think of one person ...
Congratulations on selling your B and buying your new BX in an improbably short span, BP!
Sounds like it was meant to happen for you.

Just to re-cap, for those who may have missed it, FWIW, life moves along and the wear and tear on one's body. My wife is being pro-active in pushing me to adapt. The gardening systems will be changing. We've recovered all the standing and down dead oak/cherry on the property, and so this change reflects the natural evolution of it all, different tasks due to a different time one's life. This wasn't completely unforeseen. Looking back at some posts, over three years ago, when we first got the B, I made it clear that it seemed inevitable then, that when the day came, going back to a subcompact would be no ego bruising affair to me whatsoever.

Dang, I hope my grandkids will put me up on a GR lawn tractor or something for my 88th birthday and let me tool around a bit.

That a ways off, so I'm just gonna enjoy each day as it comes.

Making my list and checking it twice. Gonna get 4 gallons of SUDT-2 to dump the old fluid. Hydro filter. Will drop the front axle fluid. Gallon of anti-feeze for the radiator freshening. Engine oil filter I have, but gotta stop and pick up a gallon T-6 Rotella or synthetic Delo.

Got a flashlight to crawl under the unit and check the HST fan and make sure it is in tact. Would refuse the tractor if it isn't, of course.

Shoveling crusty, frozen snow off the trailer. Not as "clean" as I'd like but in these temps, there's not much that can be done. Supposed to be about Zero F in the morning with a high of about 6F tomorrow. Not a perfect day to to it, but gung ho enough to go anyway.

Loaded it up at the dealership.

When we got there, the tractor was in the shop and the tech was going over it with a fine toothed comb. He'd already changed the engine oil/filter. "Just because" the fella said. Greased it, washed it and checked all the function. "It's just a new tractor" said the tech. Manager came over and handed me a Kubota hat, the manual packet, Slow Moving vehicle triangle, two keys on rings, brochure, etc. All nice gestures. Great people. Ginop Sales, of northern Michigan.

Went to breakfast with my neighbor on the way home. Filled his truck up with fuel as well. Grateful for his help and the use of his truck and trailer. Thanks John.
