That truck driver has to be pretty inexperianced. You can see in one of the pix the track from where the tractor cut the inside of the corner. I'm guessing he hasn't driven truck very long.

But wait - there's more! At this point - Mr forklift operator decided to back down in to the gully and get stuck too - it was one heck of a morning!
After this chapter of the morning I had to change back in to my 'work clothes' and leave for my office - when I arrived almost 3 hours late for work I tried to explain the whole thing to my co-workers - needless to say - nobody believed me.![]()

We noticed a couple things and took lots of pictures - I think the biggest thing that got damaged was the drivers ego.All I can say is: :confused2: Was anything damaged? I like the look on your kids faces!
He tells us that he arrived Wednesday night and then slept in front of our ranch - he claims when he woke up he decided to drive down to the intersection and turn around - he said it would be quicker and easier to leave after everything was unloaded.Oh, and did he go off the road or did it wash out/collapse?
He said he has driven trucks forever and has made deliveries just like it countless times - I'm thinking he was stretching the truth just a bit. That truck driver has to be pretty inexperianced. Must have been that he hadn't had his morning coffee yet.![]()
I WOULD HAVE BEEN VERY NERVOUS THAT WHEN THE STRAPS WERE LOOSENED THE LOAD WOULD HAVE SLID OFF THE TRAILER.
First post here.
New to all this.
We are fixing to put up a 40 x 60 "barndominium" same size basically.
I am going to try to do all that I can myself including erection of the building.
I won't do the concrete though. I need that to be done correctly.
I am watching this with great interest.

I'm thinking if they put the forks in from the high side of the trailer and secured the load to the forks they could have easily tilted the load "level" and lifted the load off. The important part would have been to make sure the load was really secured to the forks to prevent the load from sliding.
