Tractor
yanmar 1500
Purchased Yanmar 1500 and 4' bush hog, does good job on small jobs around the farm. Used post hold digger, tractor shook a lot but did acceptable job.

Welcome to TBN :welcome: - My post hole digger is not my favorite implement, more likely my least favorite. It's not too accurate and bounces around too much. One day I'm going to work on getting a better (longer) point put on the end of the agar bit. Hope that will help but I have too many rocks and roots, I guess.

I agree, the PHD is not a favorite but necessary at times. A friend with a large tractor came over and drilled several holes for a project. My Yanmar shook a lot but the holes are OK and as deep as those with the larger tractor, however I had to raise and lower several times to prevent auger lockup in the dirt.

Ditto, the PHD is not my favorite attachment. I found I have to drill my holes in the Spring. I had no trouble then, when the ground was still soft from the snow melt. Later in the summer the ground is like rock and it just doesn't do a thing. One hole I had to get drilled and the only way was to run a hose to the spot and let it trickle all day while I sporadically drilled.
