After countless hours of reading thru forums, watching reviews, looking at the dealers in person, talking with sales people. I finally convinced myself to put a down stroke on one today. Once I decided on a Grand L60 cab today, then I had to pick between a 54hp or 60hp which took me at least another hour 😂. Dealer is really busy so won’t be putting it together and delivering til week after next.
And I was so close to picking the 60hp, as they were going to let me have it for $1,900 more. But my common sense side told me I could get a much needed attachment for the difference . The Kubotas are so expensive anyways.
I almost went with the MF2860 M deluxe cab. They have so many standard features and still less money than the L5460 with nothing other than R4 tires and 1055 loader.

That’s an awesome tractor. Photos please.

Had the same dilemma but in my case, I chose the L6060. It's been my experience after owning 7 tractors, bigger is always better for the work I do.

In any case, welcome to the forum! I'm sure you will love the L5460! (y)

You're gonna like that machine. My L4060 while less HP, has been a reliable workhorse.
Disappointed to see that they still (seemingly) use the crappy incandescent work lights on the L60 series. I swapped them out for 55w led lights, which make night work much easier, particularly snow plowing in my use.

All the research paid off!!! Congrats. You are going to like it. I looked closely at the Grand L's before my purchase and they are nice machines.

I think you will love that Kubota. I have a 4330 I’ve had 20 years never any problems. Also got the Massey 2960 had 3 years and also no issues. Neither of mine use DEF and I like that

Congratulations. You’ll love it. I’m two years and 360 hours into my L5460 with no issues. 👍 I don’t think you’ll miss or notice 6 HP.

Thank you . I may have went with the L 4760 or L 4060 had they been in stock, as I’m sure they would both have met my needs. Other than I’m at nearly 5,000 ft elevation, and thought it may be best to have a turbo.
I may need to look into changing out the halogens, thanks for the tip.

I researched quite a few tractors, and all of them had things I liked and things I didn’t . And likely would’ve been happy with every one of them.

I also really think I will love it .
I’m hoping the emission system turns out not causing issues. That’s one reason I’m hanging on to my ‘07 Dodge , early model with the 5.9.

I’ll always wonder if I should’ve bought the MF 2860 M like yours.
I was just about ready to pull the trigger on the MF Saturday. The salesman I had been dealing with wasn’t there but said his boss would be. Well , I stopped in , took my second really good look at it. But no one was around and available . So I left and went to give the JD 4052R another look . Got tied up with the salesman for a bit. By then the MF dealer was closed. So then went to the Kubota dealer for my third look. Really liked the owner, and they’ve been there for 28 years under the same ownership. So after visiting about them for a bit , I made my decision. I decided it was time to just go for it , otherwise figured I’d be going on like that for months 😂.

The dpf emissions were relatively new when I got my L4060, but it has been problem free over 950 ish hours. 18 regens, averaging 52 hours between.

5460/6060 is my dream tractor, but ended up buying similarly spec-ed TYM for half the money.
If you can swing the money for Kubota, go for it, my first tractor was Kubota and it never gave me any problems.

The main reason I decided on the Kubota is for the HST + transmission. So I hope it’s as good as some claim. I actually didn’t even fire up or “test drive” any of the tractors I looked at .
I’ll probably financially regret that I didn’t buy a new Kioti NS 4710 cab model with loader at the new dealership here. I could’ve bought it for $41k and some change. The Kubota L5460 is about $59k with loader, bucket, and Trac Loader 2 tires, no other options.
Kubota must make a killing on those. They come bare bones , they build them the exact same for 20 years, and are the most expensive by a fair amount.

I probably would’ve asked for one with wheels but hey, if it works for you. :D It looks nice, just a little bit of final assembly.
