Lots of really good information to consider while deciding on what to get. I researched the heck out of this when I decided to trade "up" from my
BX2200. After hours on forums and Internet sites as well as looking at brochures, I decided the B2920 was THE tractor and sold my BX2200 to my son in law. I then began going to dealers and looking at all of the tractors and that is when I made the discovery that the BX2660 was better for my needs than a B for MY use which does not include snow removal as we rarely get any here.
However, given the parameters of the original poster, I would choose a B over the BX for all of the reasons mentioned such as ground clearance as he did not indicate any steep terrain and the clearance will help in snow. I have used mine to clear snow the few times we have had significant accumulations and while the BX will work, I am convinced a bigger tractor will work better.
My primary reason for buying the BX2660 was because it is used 80% for mowing and because I also have a 60 and 80 HP with FEL at one of our other farms 4 miles away for the heavier stuff and one has a heated/AC cab; can't beat that.
I agree with everyone else on the FEL as I will use mine about every week and until you have one, you simply cannot appreciate how handy they are especially as you get older. Heck I use mine to carry a sack of corn out to the feeder; funny how much heavier 50 lbs is than it use to be; oh and you don't get younger, so don't laugh.
