Hi all,

Lost my hydraulic fill plug today when slashing some hairy grass on the neighbours place. The part is SBA398430560 which would be easy as pie to get if I was in the USA. However I'm in Australia and I can't get it easily.

The part fits a bunch of CNH and Ford tractors apparently, does anyone know what thread it is? I have access to a lathe if I can't buy something to suit locally, but I need to know the thread first. The tractor is out at my property and I don't have any way of getting it to my proper tools or vice versa.

Thanks.

Think tractor tech nailed it but if you still want plug dimensions; 2.5mm thread spacing , I measured 1.147” outside thread diameter

Australia is the problem. As you can see, $72 postage on a $14 plug is a bit silly.

Looks like 30mm x 2.5mm pitch. I'll buy something locally or make it.

Thanks!

Got it. I was thinking I found an Australian sourced plug. Good luck replacing yours.

Know anyone with a 3d printer?

Yep. Already made one out of some aluminium. I'll pretty it up now that it fits.

It would take me longer to model it in CAD than it took me to make it. I am planning on drawing one up though, now I know for sure that that is definitely the correct size.

All done.

Drilled a 3mm hole all the way through, then an 11mm hole down *about that far* to tap it 1/4"BSP. The tap we had at work was rubbish so the thread isn't great, but the filter breather fits.

I will probably change to a dehumidifying filter when I can find a suitably sized one.

Next problem: Anyone know the thread on the fuel filler cap? The breather on there is stuffed and leaked water into the tank.
