Yep, Boone's right. I got a factory recall on my '93 T-100- - - it was running great so I didn't do anything about it. Well, right about 200k, sure enough the head gasket blew. Took it in to see if the recall still applied, & thank goodness, it was still covered. I had the dealer do a ring job while he was in there.
At 294k there are some things that are going to fail on me. I've never replaced the clutch, & I can occassionally tell that it does slip - - I'm not towing anythng these days. I'm sure that helps.
I drive it back & forth to work 3-4 times a week - about 54 miles one way. I try not to go over 75-80, but it still runs great. Maybe when/if I hit 300k I'll start looking for a new one.
