The weakest spot on my Kubota is that big ol' NUT right behind the steering wheel..... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Could they make it in a 65 pto hp model scaled up to match! That would be perfect.

Ken, I knew I liked you, right from the start. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I forgot about the step. I painted mine with spray on bed liner in black. Adds traction and looks great. I will take a photo later, it's dark out and snowing /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Daryl, only sometimes? Dang, I'm slipping! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Dwight, mine has the same design flaw - care to join me in a class-action lawsuit? /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

ksmmoto, great idea for the step, I think I'll do that as well.

And Kubotafan, I'm pretty sure you're not really mad at me, but just in case, I want you to know that I more than forgive my 'bota for her weak spots, as I hope I am forgiven for mine. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: What are the \"weak spots\" on your tractor?

Lights are my biggest complaint, I haven't been able to figure out with the loader on what they are useful for?

I wish the four wheel drive lever was up on the fender like the NH's, I am continually hitting the lever knocking her out of 4wd.

Where the joystick is does limit your abiltiy for using that side to mount/dismount the tractor.

Other than these items, I haven't found too much else. Overall I am very happy with my machine.... Maybe a post next on weak spots on our wives, I could fill a page... Just joking of course.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

That is the biggest complaint my tractor has.

Re: What are the \"weak spots\" on your tractor?

I echo the complaint about the quick attach bucket popping off. I looked at my friend's Bobcat and the pins engage much farther in the holes. Based on another posting from this site I added several flat washers under the springs of the quick attach levers to cure the problem. It hasn't come off in the last 1.5 years since I made the fix.

Any chance of you posting a shot of that so I can see what you did exactly..?

( Grill guard. Not the guard itself of course, but the spaces in between. )
On my L3010 I welded in some expanded metal mesh and painted it orange. Worked fine for years, so I'll do the same on the 4630.
( Tail lights. How I haven't smashed them yet, I do not know )
Since I never drive w/o a rear implement, this has never been an issue for me.
( Valve stems. Why on earth don't all wheels have stem protectors?? I've knocked 2 off so far. )
The thought of losing a valve stem in the woods terrified me, so I had skidder-style protectors installed before taking delivery.
( Bucket level indicator ) I'm going to remove mine. I just glance at the side of the bucket to tell my position.
( Loader hoses rubbing on hood. I secured them away from the hood with a spring and zip-tie )
I need to do this too. Do you have a pic so I can see your arrangement?

The other thing I didn't like was the degree of difficulty lowering the folding ROPS. On the L3010 I drilled out the captured nut and replaced the bolt with a hitch pin. On the L4630 I just ground the threads off the bolt so it slid in and out easily. It turned a five minute struggle into a 30 second piece of cake.
