What did you do to your Yanmar today?

I guess the tags there on the side of the loader don't reveal anything. Big bucket for sure. I don't think it is a vn loader. Does the loader valve have a float position? Just curious.

Loader made by Apple Implement Mfg.

Couldn't find anything on Apple loaders but it looks like a well made loader, I'm guessing fairly old just because of the two handle control valve and bucket size.

Yes it is a large bucket. I want to make a new one for mine as it is badly mis-shapen after too may pole/post/tree etc removals. I however will make it slightly narrower but larger in depth and height.

After working with this bucket for a while, I think I would like to try a slightly more narrow bucket as you say.

Let me know how your build goes.

After my little mishap with the range selector I decided to give my YM14 a birthday and see if I could work out why it is running so rough. I did degrease and pressure clean it whilst running and noticed it coughed when I sprayed water around the inlet neck and injectors. Broke out the brake clean and started spraying. Found an injector seat leak on No1 and a bad one on No2, maybe they were never put back when it was last pulled to bits? I will pull them out and see what condition they are in if there are any installed....

What do you mean maybe they were never put back? Is this inside the injector itself or the injector well in the head?

If it's the injector, I can send you the breakdown & rebuild directions from the John Deere 850 950 1050 service technician's manual.

Yeah between the injector and head. When I squirt some brakecleen down there it coughs and carries on so am guessing they were never replaced/installed.

I also changed oil and filter on the 1500 as I had all the stuff out. Will grease her up soon and adjust the brakes as they are not working really well ATM. First adjustment in about 8 years so not bad
