yeah mud kicking my butt too. have to work road during those few days mud wind and sun all work together. so far sun starts to cooperate then goes away. cannot use box scraper, will not bleed off at all just clumps. got most of potholes fixed using grader blade and roller but really need to use box blade (no tines) to smooth little divets.
and of course rain and another 1/4 or so snow due friday night. makes it hard to maintain a road.
think I will give up for a few and tomorrow head up the road to change clogged fuel filter on MF1532 and get that fired up for first time since beginning of November.

Moving snow on sunday was bad. The ground under the snow was muddy because it was so warm the week before. Put chunks of my lawn through the blower. The thing will chew through anything. I guess the next thing I'll actually be doing is replacing my divots and spreading grass seed.

not good. filter changed, fuel going up into injection pump no issues pump bled out. still only sputters. suspect gel in injectors. not my tractor so dealer service call due.
meanwhile my GC2400 (just to keep on topic) runs fine and may tow the 1532 out of its park spot to allow access for mtx LOL

edit: now not positive pump bled out well so in day or so after battery charges will bleed it.

Well, it was Thursday, but I hope I've used my blower for the last time this year -- we got a tad over an inch of fairly wet snow overnight and into Thursday AM. Hit it with the blower before temps rose too much; a few hrs later driveway was only wet. Dirt roads up here are horrible this year, and the .97" of precipitation we got out of that storm didn't help....

Working on removing two tree stumps with my GC1723 that are next to my driveway. It is going very, very slow. These roots and rocks are huge.

The driveway ice had been melting early this year and now is about 50% gone.

Today I'm going to remove the tire chains on the MF and swap out the studded snow tires on our truck.

Tomorrow I plan to swap out the weight box and MF Dozer Blade for the FEL and either the Back Hoe or the Box Blade.

Still have plenty of snow in the shaded areas as the temperature climbs to the low 50's during the day.

KC

B.T.W. I found these sheds about a month ago about 20' from the back deck. I normally find a few sheds each springtime on the property, but have only found a few matched pairs and never before found a matched pair this close together.

WHISKEY TANGO FOXTROT??

Well, I knew it was supposed to get cold overnight (now +12F), but I didn't expect this! Glad I haven't yet removed the snow blower... and my camera apparently just died....

Here's a pic my daughter took with her phone and emailed to me -- sheesh!

ug snowing here now and 22 deg. no expected accumulation but...when trying to fix 2 1200ft private roads the 2 70deg days 2 weeks ago and not being able to do anything since then due to rain/snow/hail/freezing rain/ (rain every day since, all 4 2 days ago and MANY snow flurries since then) since then screwing me.

It is just wrong that I had to be out at 5AM on the 28th of march moving snow drifts so that my wife could get out to work.

Prior to the apparent "snow squall" last night, we had lost ALL of our snow --lawn, woods, everything-- with the exception of the piles my blower had accumulated over the winter. Yuck. Driveway's OK now, but it has struggled to get past 18F today. I'm gettin' too old for this ... stuff. And our dirt road's pretty much a disaster this spring. Oh well, it makes one appreciate the summer, I suppose...

We're in spring mud purgatory here in my area. Snow is melted and we've been getting intermittent squalls the last 3 days but nothing too exciting. Poor GC has just been laying around the garage licking it's wounds. My dad dropped the ole girl into a foundation trench loader down last fall. I need to replace what I hope is just a leaking seal the front axle and maybe replace a pedal bushing or 2 from standing on the brake and bending the reverse pedal over on his way in. To the machines credit, a seal and bushings is a welcomed price to pay for dropping it into the trench and nearly through my uncle's foundation.

Also, Thanks to supply chain issues my grapple project is on hold with a pile of metal and a pair of cylinders waiting in the garage. I did get a CAD mockup of it and have most of the parts designed to be cut out once my CNC table arrives

oil/fuel/air filter service due on it soon.
then got 2 1723 and 1 1725M I got to do full services on, all fluids as its first service.
oh well I get tons of free food from them for doing this stuff, free eggs (free range orange yolk) free vegatables, free berries of many types, etc.
bartering works for me and keeps me fat

nothing. I did warm it up (16 deg last night) just in case but dr appts (neck/back traction) and replacing 18+ yr old dishwasher took precedence.
but if needed old girl was raring to go LOL :);)
dishwasher don't leak gc2400 starts easily.
the MF1532 another story, is at dealer now...
high temp today was 28 with a 14-25mpg wind.
I stayed inside LOL

another 400x25 feet of road graded inbetween freezing weather at night and either rain or high winds in day.
only 450 feet to go.
then looked at wifes car found blown strut, ordered parts, so road can wait.
prob blew because weather prevented me from fixing this road earlier LOL

Hey Dmacleo,

Did you ever get to replacing the fuel lines in your GC2400?, if so how did the project go?

I have only done a temp repair on the pump to filter hose at pump end. weather, jobs needing done, etc have prevented me from doing them.
I was lucky, I had 3/4" play to cut and rehook.
course so much fuel was tossed around by driveshaft into fan that still smells like a leak but I've verified its not. just needs a good pressure washing.
which will happen when I replace all 3 lines hopefully in June when my climate better
still mid 20's mornings here.

more grading. few driveway entrances fixed.
down to a 150x150 cul-de-sac left to do.
figured out easiest way EVER to replace front struts on my wifes ford escape.
called my friends at local garage they cleared a slot for me 2 days after parts arrive.
:);)

removed chute and rotation rod from the blower, cleaned all up with air, set down back on 10x4 ft 2x6 pallet and getting ready to tarp. this afternoon pulling mower deck and tiller out of storage, service tiller (even though serviced when put away) and prep for possible tilling jobs next week.
if weather good 3 tilling jobs next 5-10 days.
