Mine's been busy doing the leaf thing.... looks like one more time for this year. My DR Leaf Vac does a very nice job; gets about 98% on one pass.

DR leaf vac , very nice. Have one of their chippers and it works pretty good.

Anyone try a Granberg Alaskan Sawmill- I must have a few more dozen Ash to come down and could use some benches and a coffee table.

one of Irvingj s pics brought up a discussion point that is the one thing I HATE about these GC tractors that come with a BH, not sure if it still affects the newer 1700 series though. The one thing I hate about this tractor is when the top link always hits the FOP bar every-time its folded and you raise the 3ph. Such a horrible setup-engineer who designed this should be shot! Im still trying to figure out how to keep that from happening without heavy modifications. Irvingj looks like you have something wrapped around the top bar of the FOP?

I remove my toplink and was advised to do so by the dealer. Only the lower arms fold and I don't have an issue there with clearances. For me it's still nicer than taking off all the arms completely which at last glance was a necessity for orange and green comparables.

Top link removed too.
Also added a neoprene stick on pad to Rops where they touch BH when folded.

The Tool Box / Storage Box is army surplus 50 cal ammo box. I paid $10 each. You can pick them up new at Harbor Freight for $15.

One of the reasons my ROPS top half comes f’d for the summer. I wish there was more pin holes, so that they didn’t just flop down

So my stump grinder was in a motorcycle accident (he’s Ok) but broke a bunch of fingers and toes. Had to tackle this one without him. I’ll stick to tractor work.

Yes, that's a few feet of foil-backed bubble-wrap wrapped around there, to protect the paint where the ROP hangs down.

I also have my top link removed; when I put on the BH, I temporarily raise the ROP, attach the BH, then lower the ROP again to let it rest on the BH. That bubble-wrap stuff also keeps the rattles down. I tried, some time ago, to make a ROP-pin extension to hold it in a partially-raised position (awkward, but it worked), but I don't use that anymore, just let it rest against the rear surface of the BH control panel/box thing.

I rarely have the tractor in a situation where I feel the ROP needs to be raised. Once in a while, yes, but most of the time it's down.

Yeh cool. My neighbor uses a leaf vac too. Me, I just mulch them into the grass. Wish I could convert the massey 60" deck into a mulcher, but oh well, I just use my 50" deck on my garden tractor.

I notice your lights are mounted inside the rops and sit vertically, that's interesting. I installed nitrile backup rings with the rop pins (the ones where the rops fold), it cuts down the rattling. When I have them folded down, I bungee cord it to thing the top link attached too, so that it doesn't bang against the back when moving/stopping.

RV Parking pad today. 3” of 2A modified, overfilled with 3” of red stone that the homeowner will level out as he places it in his flower beds.

It looked pretty good. The customers wife demanded it be covered in red stone, so it would match the existing flower beds. I explained it’s not the correct rock for the application but she didn’t give up. (Shrugs) happy customer when I left....and so it goes.
