removed chute and rotation rod from the blower, cleaned all up with air, set down back on 10x4 ft 2x6 pallet and getting ready to tarp. this afternoon pulling mower deck and tiller out of storage, service tiller (even though serviced when put away) and prep for possible tilling jobs next week.
if weather good 3 tilling jobs next 5-10 days.
Let's hope we're all in the clear and no more white stuff shows up.

ground soft enough now that if it happened, which it often does up here first 2 weeks of April, I leave it on ground. if town plow comes by on main road I'll backdrag the bank there but rest of it...not happening. tried it one year cause people complained and my truck plow dug the hell out of the road. not to mention their driveways. I warned them, they thought I was lying.

Yup certainly something that has to be dealt with in the fall and spring snowfalls

hauled a deere x530 lawn tractor (come along used to get centered in trailer) and hauled back down to (prob 1/8 mile) house to determine ECU bad from first spring start using a booster pack to fire unit up.
coils not getting signals mean gas don't explode...
old massey hauled it just fine, meanwhile same peoples massey 1532 is at dealer with injection pump and injector issues from sitting for months.
people...if you got ANY kind of ICE....start it every few days and let it run. it will cost you a lot less in the end.
also moved more dirt on road, all thats left there is a 150+ft cul-de-sac to smooth and shape to direct water flow.

approx 50x120 feet, initial prep, depth 4-7" deep, 2 wheel drive. woods 48.30 behind gc2400 with bucket attached.
6 minutes.
many more of these types to do.
most w/i a 15 mile radius from my location so 45/hr 1 hr min. each of the ones lined up so far are non-virgin ground, been tilled many times before.
this pic is my personal garden.
250 ft away is one I till that is small and deals with tomatoes (which I get for free) 900 feet away is berry/vegetable gardens I do for free which means I get fresh strawberries, cultivated blueberries, bunch of other truck vegetables for free. I also get fresh tapped maple syrup for free.
400 ft down road neighbor wants to grow lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, carrot stuff. the 4 minutes it takes to till them pays off for me.

I eat pretty damned well.

I would love a tiller but I can't justify the cost of a piece of equipment I'll only use 1 hour a year, even if it would save me 4 to 8 hours of walking behind my troy built, plus I use the walk behind the entire growing season. Maybe when I get older and can't do the walking, but then again, when that happens I probably won't be able to take care of the garden at all so won't need it anyway.

Not many people around me do gardens, I've seen the neighbors try when they first move in and see mine but it does not last long. Most people don't realize how much work a garden the size of mine can be. I'd actually buy a tiller if I thought I could use it to prep other peoples gardens.

Like I said, I might need to buy one in the future if I want to keep doing the garden at all, but I'm not sure how I'd do between rows at that point. I'm not disabled, but I'm getting up there in age and the garden is getting to be harder to do every year.

It appears that the Woods tiller does a nice job so I'll keep that in mind, and they make them in Massey red :p

Mowed my yard for the first time with my new-to-me gc2400 with 54" deck. I feel like I have been missing out. Don't get me wrong, I liked my old wheelhorse, but this is totally different. Hour and a half job now maybe hour tops, and that's only because I was enjoying myself.

Moved out a bunch of rounds and started to create berms for planting.

Not too long after this got into the mud and barely got out with all wheels spinning.
Took a while to hose off...

Finally (hope I won't get bitten for this) cleaned, removed & stored chains, removed & serviced snowblower & quick hitch assembly, fixed a soft tire, put on FEL for moving some rocks around... Winter's over! :)

I feel lazy.
due to weather only thing I did was use it to push a deere x530 lawn tractor (waiting for an ECU so I can make it start and return to owners) out of the way of my shed entrance.
was gonna replace my mid mount lift shaft (over the years torque twist has made rt side lift about 1.5 inches less then left side) but...1/2 inch of rain every damned day nullified that hope.

edit: BTW don't hook a 1k amp booster direct (both + and -) to battery on a deere x series lawn tractor. ECU runs 85-120$.

Yes, I see that, and they're talking about the possibility of snow next Tuesday... but not much. (Otherwise rain.) If necessary, I can remove with the FEL, but in any case I doubt it'll stay on the ground long...at least I hope not!

Another company came in and attempted a shed pad for this customer. They chose to dig down into saturated ground and accomplished a soupy mess, then threw up their hands, stated “we can’t do it” and left…..

I was able to flatten the soup out to an acceptable level. Put in geotex fabric, 12 tons of base rock and 6 tons of 3/4. Came out pretty good.

I don't think this will effect you, but I'm glad I did not put away my blower and FEL on thrusday while it was warm. National Weather Service has issued a weather alert for up to 12 inches of snow monday night into tuesday.

Wonder how much we'll get.

Saw that; we're supposed to get around 5-6" of wet, soupy stuff, changing to rain after 7AM. FEL is ready....
