Piece of cake!👍👍
Seeing your post.... thinking I'll need more categories for Utility Awards..... (read-out, Academy Award announcer style...)

A) Top 5 - Frequent Outages

B) Top 5 - Marathon Outages

C) Top 5 - Ultra-Marathon Outages

Ride along with world-travelers like Itchy Boots though.... plenty of people in those areas would be confused by the panic here from a major Grid-Down event, as they live like that "normally".

 LOL ...... stranger things have happened... IIRC, this site started out in a teenager's bedroom.

Then again, aggregating info on critical infrastructure performance these days.... might lead to black-helicopters on my lawn !

Speaking of outages and utilities, thought you might like to see a "Genmon" from the other side of the meter... EDIT: I guess I should clarify, the two generators are bottom left and right running at 32MW each at 14.4kV then jumping up to 144kV leaving site.

Finally found a suitable back up power source for my machine shop. A local municipal agency sent this to auction and I picked it up for what I feel was a steal. 325KW, 3 phase. Total hours are just under 600.

We are right in the middle of forest fire country, so the planned outages are happening more and more. A few days without power really impacts us and our customers.

It’s supposed to rain like crazy this weekend, so I plan on getting this serviced and put thru some load testing.

Yes, that trailer was quite a score as well.

That whole setup is heavy. The old deuce didn’t like pulling it up the hills very much!

It’s a Mack E7, 360HP. Made in 1999, no emissions and is mechanically injected.
I'm going to assume it's already in your Will..... might outlast all of us, put-together !

If you have a minute, post-up how your test-run went.

All that power and look at the air compressor next to the tire!

Very nice but 325kw / 360hp doesn’t add up!

It's 120% efficient!
90 carries those #'s better in his head than I do.... but I was initially thinking Peak Pwr, when I saw his comment....

Here are the tags from the engine and generator head. I'm only able to go with those #'s until I can somehow load test.

It does seem likely it's 325KVA, which would bring it to about 260KW using a .8PF if I'm doing the math right?

Thanks for the pics OR ! We like pictures.....

I'd have to start by looking up "Base Rate", as I don't play at these power levels..... poked around a bit just now.... not sure if that term is in current (pun-intended) use..... might have to wait for one of the Commercial guys like CM to drift by for a historical perspective......

W/O a calculator, you math looks about right.....

(from when I went looking,.... a cold-start on a 500 KVA.... don't show this to your Sierra Club friends !)
