Nothing more than what TBN members normally get. What did you have in mind?

??? Not sure what that means.... Most units we discount to our tbn members quite respectably. Obviously we can't sell below our cost, and we do not put the mark up in them that other companies are doing just to lower prices so people think they are getting a wonderful deal. We have our dealers to be concerned with as well, and cannot obviously sell below what our dealers are able to buy them for.

Main Reasons people make a lot of clamor and put big sales on 1) Excess inventory. 2) Short of Cash flow 3) Liquidating assets or old stock. None of which we have. The units are already much cheaper in many cases (less than 1/2) than anything comparable to major competition. Seasonally, our volume is already hitting high marks. Cutting prices excessively only harms our marketing overall as people wait for these "BIG" sales to buy. Other guys may do it an undercut our prices. One company that has done this is going out of business. I hear rumors of another. We don't aim to be that other company.

We do offer modest discounts to TBN members, which do vary from time to time in amount, but always are fair and as competitive as we can be without ticking off our affiliates.

People who want dirt cheap, out of the trunk, shady deals don't think about the future of their product or the company they are buying from regardless of warranty.

Fair enough, I was just asking. I have the 140 arc welder and really like it. I'm looking for an AC/DC tig welder but not in a hurry. If you ever have killer deals pop up, please let me know.

Re: Everlast Welders

I am in the market looking for a plasma cutter for my shop. I have looked at several small units 50 amp. My needs are 1/2 inch possibly a little larger. most work is sheet metal and 1/4 inch. I am planning on using for general repair and fabrication. I am new to Plasma torches so I am not looking at spending a small fortune for a tool that I will use intermittent. Looking at difference of pilot arc VS non pilot arc. I will be cutting old steel and painted material for repairs. Sell me on the Everlast units. Also I was told Everlast offers discount to TBN members, is this true? Also are there any Plasma tig combo units I should look at.

Blue, I won't be going on Longevity's sponsored thread and posting "check out Everlast"....Please extend the same courtesy on this one. If you want to ask and post a comparative question/explanation here about ours and theirs, fine...but when you have publicly stated your intentions to work with/sell them...well...not cool in my book . Fine to state it outside in the other threads. Fair game. I don't mind the competition and can and have even answered your own questions and issues you've had they didn't/couldn't answer to your satisfaction. Please, .just don't bring it here as someone who works with them. People will read their thread anyway and come back with their own conclusions when post after post is made by the same entity with little or no response. It's right over/under our thread...so they aren't going to miss it.

Right now, I have some deals on PowerPlasma 60's if you want all the power you could stand. The 50's are well priced too, but are out of stock for a few days, but should be in very soon after the first of the year is behind us.

Ought to see the ruckus that blue started over on WW this past week. And we get smeared with it too as people don't know how to discriminate between brands that the don't like.

Mark, I am very interested in one of the 50 amp units. Do you have any and what price would it be landed in Kamloops BC Canada. You can pm me if you prefer not discuss on the forum.

John

Does anyone have any experience with the Maxcut 40 Plasma cutter offered by Everlast?

We don't have a maxcut 40 plasma cutter. Our smallest is a 50 amp. I'd recommend the PowerPlasma 50S. New this year with some added features.

I contacted the Canadian Everlast dealer and he said they are out of stock of the 50S until March 5 and said he had some of the Maxcut 40's in stock and suggested I get one of those if I didn't want to wait.
