Complete, I was just curious as to whether or not you could let us know which model of JD or Kubota has more capability than the KL401 loader that comes on the Kioti DK40SE? I don't know because I only look at the CUT's and I know the LA854 on the Kubota 5740 doesn't do it. The 41 horse Kioti out lifts it. How about a John Deere? What does it take? A 70 horse power tractor to out lift the 41 horse power Kioti?

A, kubota L45 45hp, FEL- 2848 to pivot pins . Break Out Force 4530. That out lifts the Kioti and out diggs

In Complete's defense, is it possible that his friends loader could have been one of the loaders that had the problems with the cracked bracing that went on for 1-2yrs awhile back? I'm not sure what models the cracked loaders were on, but maybe that was the cause?

I doubt that the leaking HST cooler problems or the injector pump problems that were fairly common in some models could have caused a loader to bend. Ahh no matter, they were still heavier and cheaper than comparable Kubota/Deeres/NH.

Sorry, not on the 45 horsepower.

Speaking of hydraulics, that's one of the things that sold me on Kioti. Outspec'd most other brands, including JD and Kubota. The Kioti, feature for feature, lb for lb was just way more tractor than the competitors for far less money.

Has Kioti had some problems? Yes:

cracked loader cross members
some failed injector pumps
brittle fuel filter bowls

To name those that have affected me.

In each case, Kioti has remedied the problem through design changes, and has taken care of their owners for the most part.

Other brands have troubles too, and most get corrected and we move on. All are good machines. I own a JD and a Kioti, and love them both equally like any good parent.:D

To Complete: Is it fair to say you wouldn't recommend Kioti based on just a few minutes of observation? I know, I know, you've retracted that statement, sorta. I saw a buddy of mine break the dipper arm on his JD backhoe once digging in plain dirt. Should I conclude that JD's should not be recommended based on that one incident? No, because it would be irresponsible of me to paint with such a broad brush.

Guys this is getting a little nasty. Complete backed off his initial hastily written note aleady and doesn't deserve to be hassled like this. Let's not be so defensive about our other orange tractors.

No I'd rather save a few extra pennies and buy a Kubota or a Deere.:D

Save a few pennies huh? Please fill me in on what model of Kubota or Deere is as capable or more capable then the equivalent Kioti and cheaper. This would be quite an amazing feat!

I have to come to the defense of these Kioti owners.
Chris, I'm touched. We don't normally see eye to eye. Then again this isn't a "best truck" thread. :D

That's not a CUT Neither is the , Kioti DK40SE? . It is a ( L ) size model same as the Kubota.
What he meant was that the Kioti DK is a Utility Tractor where as the Kubota L45 is a dedicated TLB. Dedicated Tractor-Loader-Backhoes typically have higher capacities, stronger pumps, more weight, and much higher cost. Completely different animal.
