Zebra,

How are your hoses routed to your single point connection?

Here's what mine looks like:

5085hydhoses-2.jpg

They are rather exposed to getting snagged by brush/slash in the woods.

The installation manual shows a hose holder as seen here:

5085hydhoses-4.jpg

Does your tractor have this? I looked at my mounting frame, and I don't see bolt holes for such a bracket, which I suppose is why it wasn't installed.

I plan to re-orient the hose fittings to be more horizontal instead of being angled down, and then figure out some way to tuck the hoses against the frame.

Another concern I had was that, on about every 5th start up, once the engine is running, the following 2 indicators stay lit and I get a warning beep. They go away after about 10 seconds.

5085dash.jpg

H is the Engine Information Indicator and Operator's Manual states:

--- cut ---
If engine information indicator remains illuminated after starting engine, stop engine immediately.

Check engine oil level, engine oil cooler, and engine oil filter. If low oil level is not the problem, see your John Deere dealer.
--- cut ---

I of course checked the oil level and it is right at the high mark.

I is the Service Alert Indicator and the Operator's Manual states:

--- cut ---
Indicator illuminates when a malfunction occurs (review error messages in information display). If necessary, have John Deere dealer diagnose vehicle.

NOTE: Correct problem before restarting.
--- cut ---

Like I said, it only happens on about every 5th start up, although it has happened 2 or 3 times in a row, but it always goes away after about 10 seconds.

Could this just a false positive type indication being that I only have 8 hours on the engine?

My loader valve is mounted horizonal compared to yours. (I'll take some pictures and post later). The outlets for the hoses face down. From the frame out, two rows of three. The forward row has 90s the rear row has long sweep 90s. My hoses do not hang below the frame at all.

Your hoses look too long.

My loader does not have the lower hose holder.

No idea on the two lights. If the oil level is OK and they go out after 10 seconds hard to say what is going on.

With the length of your hoses I would try routing them up at about a 45 degree angle forward (between 1 & 2 O'clock) then let them loop down, then back up to your MultiCoupler.

Looks like your third function has flow control? Black knob. Make sure you don't run a hose over or too close, so you can still adjust it.

Looks you like you also have 90s on the forward row and long sweep 90s on the rear row. Should be easy to change.

I'll play with routing the hoses up at an angle instead of down or horizontal and then tie them in towards the frame to get rid of the slack. It sure would have been nice if they had a hardline option for the single-point connector.

Talked to the service department about the 2 lights that stay on after starting the engine. The guy I spoke to will have the service manager call me. He said it was definitely not "normal".

I started the tractor 4 times yesterday (for each roof panel I was getting up on the roof) and it did it on the 2nd start. There are actually 5 beeps in rapid succession when those light stay on.

Hopefully its just a code or something that needs to be cleared out of the computer.

I got my hydraulic top link from Brian today. Awesome workmanship I must say!

I need to figure out a "OEM looking" way of holding it up when I don't have an implement connected. I guess a Bungee cord will do for now.

Oh, and here's a pic of my HD bucket with the teeth on it. :D You can also see I made good progress in the pole barn extension to my shop in the background.

Here are pictures of the hoses from the mid valve to the multicoupler. There were two big wide tie wraps on the hoses. I cut them off when I swapped from quick couplers to the multicoupler. I have not bought replacement large tie wraps yet. The boom hoses were too tight so I added some 45 degree fittings to make them longer (cheaper than new hoses) I also had to adapt from JIC to ORFS. My hoses were JIC, the multicoupler is ORFS. This is not as clean/simple as I would have liked, but I did not want to buy 12 new hoses.

I been working on an idea for a different bracket for the multicoupler to turn it 90 degrees, like yours is. Then it will stick out almost 6" less.

My plan ( when I get a hydraulic toplink) is to buy the metal top link handle from JD parts. Get a band style exhaust clamp ( I think 3 1/2" will work) Weld a block with holes drilled in it for the top link handle to the band clamp. Determine the correct positon, tghten it down and a little JD green paint and it will look and work factory.

Peter,
I may have missed it, but where did you get the bolt on teeth for the bucket? I'm looking for something like that for my 410 backhoe.
