There is nothing flimsy about the Ratchet Rake straps. A 3/8" steel cable attaches to the rake, then goes under the bucket. On the other side of the bucket, the strap connects to the steel cable on one end and the rake on the other end with heavy steel hooks.
In six years of regular use I have broken one steel cable, which RR, LLC replaced merely for the price of shipping.
The strap tightening mechs do need occasional replacement. The mech eventually gets jammed with dust. I buy replacement tightening mechs at TSC rather than fool with dust removal. I am still using original nylon straps after six years.
Few would dig Himalayan Blackberries, which are rampant spreaders via roots.
