Oh...ya... The brackets! I actually just acquired a plasma cutter and want to remake those brackets for multiple positions for the tops vs the 1 I made already. For mowing my flat land I'd love to be just down from horizonal to slide under tree canopies better. I'm currently remodeling 2/3 of my house and have to rebuild my brush hog though so that task will have to wait.

To be honest, for the single job it did it was very good. Extremely good, I really enjoyed it. The ONLY reason I sold it is because I have so many attachments for the bigger JD.

Yesterday I gave her a long overdue oil/filter change. Decided to take a look inside the front axle, good thing I did coz it was down 1.5 qt oil?!! What's up with that? I don't see any evidence of leaks, so stands to reason the service dept just underfilled it when the the previous owner had the 50 hr service done. Also, WHO designed that ridiculous plastic fill cap for that front axle? Idiotic!

This manual sux, I gotta say. So much is unclear, a bunch of info cluttered, stuff left out. Massey should step up their game.

Anyways, do you guys clear out the bowl of the gasoline filter reservoir between changing the filter. If yes, is it just a matter of turning off the petcock and unscrewing the bowl?

That's what I have always done when changing the fuel filter.

Me as well. Easiest part of the changes.

Just messing around, finding some use for the hitch receiver tube.

Moved my bar across the backyard to my pool. Went without a hitch.

I did my 50 hour oil/filter change with Amsoil and installed my Bro-Tek skid plate

Yeh nice! Any sucky parts to that 50hr service? I got the 200 hr looming, I already have everything on hand, yup doing amsoil as well.

No. A half an hr job as I followers the manuals recommended service. 50 hrs is an oil change, check bolts, check fan belt tension and grease everything. It says to do hydro at 250 hrs. I checked the hydro fluid and it was clean and didn’t smell burnt.

$270 including shipping from Canada to Virginia. Cheap insurance for me!

Thanks Manganos. I have a small homemade one for now, maybe next year, or I will build something similar.

Replacing front axle pivot seals on both sides....then changing all fluids, all filters and lubing. Had to use some JB Weld to rebuild the surface where I pried to hard to split the hub open :(
