Hey it looks like your almost there do You have some help to lift it into place ? & as far as it being black that should not be a concern! Your still open 360 degrees around You & You'll have at a minimum 2 feet head clearance & Hell your in LA. & when it cools down in early winter You can start sanding again if You want.My grand total came out to $346.00 & that is about the same price as a M-F dealer for a plain canopy & a little cheaper than a plain brand new canopy from a golf cart .So I think going this route was worth it because I got a wiring harness ,2 wiring extensions,4 led lights, antenna, AM-FM /weather radio & a canopy& a good investment IMHO & not just a plain canopy
.
I'm a super busy guy and with what I've learned with this, I'd be able to do it wayy quicker and cheaper if I ever have to do it again.
Agreed. I have lights, and everything else I am putting on it will be able to be re used or can be repurposed for something else.
I'm still under $500 for everything and I enjoyed doing it.
If I was to do it again, I'd build the supports and fit, then take it off the tractor and wrap it with spandex tightly and spray it with liquid fiberglass and then spray it with liner. No Bondo etc.
