Oil & Fuel Fuel cans

They’re technically sportsman cans not fuel containers that’s how they avoid that BS. Those are the only 5 gallon jugs I use. Aside from not being saddled with bs they have the best spout of anything I’ve tried even the older cans. They can work with the can 90 degrees or completely upside down which not many other cans can do that and they have a cap to keep trash and water out of the can. They also seal up pretty well to minimize spills even if they turn over. I’ve tried some of the modern production jerry cabs and they’re not half bad but I prefer plastic cans over metal.

Never seen that, mostly referred to as fuel transfer containers.

I found this pump at my John Deere dealership. It has four AA battery’s and a auto shut off nozzle that works great. There are one on button and off button that you just push no hold. I put this can on my Kubota tractor floor board and then attach the hose with a spring loaded clamp Into the tank. This unit pumps real fast with no leaks any were. It comes with extra fuel can fittings to fit a verity of fuel cans. I have a tidy tank i used to use but is to much trouble to load and unload etc. I just take a couple of Gerry cans and fill them so i always have fresh fuel plus no trouble to switch to winter fuel as well.
I Am getting up in age and this works great for me and I would not go to anything else and I have had them all This one works !!!

Will it pump gasoline? My backhoe gas tank is very high so I hafta climb onto the machine with the gas can and then tip the can to fill the tank. Both of my wrists are bone on bone joints. Maneuvering the 5 gallon up on top of the backhoe tank hurts me every time I fill the damn thing.

I've always just added a hole where you did and use a phillips head screwdriver to plug the hole. Those caps look like a better way.

The Gas and Go uses gravity with it's nozzle but hand pumps can be had for as little as $50.00.

I'm not convinced the Flo Fast is the better option.

Sorry OP, the vent caps you are using look like a great option. I'm pretty sure I could use all 6 that come in the pack. I think my gas cans are multiplying when I'm not looking

I've had it with those fuel cans. I ditched 'em all and installed this near the garage door:

I put a 110V fuel transfer pump on the 500 gal. fuel oil tank for my oil burner. In my state, home heating oil has to be ultra low sulfur, so it burns just fine in my tractors.

End of hassle.

Cool idea. Is the home heating oil #1 diesel, #2 diesel or kerosene?

Can't decide whether this is good or bad. I use enough Diesel that I have a transfer tank mounted in my truck bed. I only use a can if I'm getting chainsaw gas or wood splitter gas or power washer gas. Everything else is diesel and filled from the transfer tank. I have a strong hate for the new non spill cans....

Just curious if you are here to be part of the forum or have a vested interest in Flo Fast? You have made only 2 posts and they both look like sales pitches.

Cool idea. Is the home heating oil #1 diesel, #2 diesel or kerosene?

The product is called #2 home heating oil. It is ultra low sulfur, dyed red, and is the equivalent of #2 diesel fuel. I've used it in all 7 of my Kubota tractors since 1979 with no issues. The temp gets down to -10F here on occasion and even though it's #2, I've never had a problem with it gelling. I filter it twice before filling the tractor and I've never had to replace any tractor fuel filters.

I know others who advise against doing this but it's worked for me for over 40 years.
