ruSSian propaganda has blended together "Russia" and "Putin". For a lot of them now that is the same thing. IMHO that is the root of ongoing tragedy

And I agree with @ovrszd. Now cowards are fleeing away. They didn't mind while their army were killing Ukrainians. Actually they find it funny to watch on TV.
If they don't want to be slaughtered, they should go out for protests. Actually Chechen and Dagestan people has done that rather successfully. Both of them are (economically speaking) weak regions, they are on supports from central govt. A lot of their guys volunteered in rus army as army is a escape from rather hopeless situation. They were sent in hottest theaters, and slaughtered there. Even if I don't like them, I have to admit - they are brave fighters
Now central govt started to draft them and people (as seen on TV - mostly woman) went out for rather wild protests. Moscow immediately said - no conscripts from Chechnya and Dagestan, they already suffered a lot


BTW, official govt has declared - they losses are ~ 5k man. And to recover that they gonna draft 300k man


Now I have seen on some YT channels as officers are "motivating" new conscripts. Message is very clear - you are on your own. Officers are recommending to take women hygiene items as wound treating / blood stopping solutions

Russia has a history of giving every 3rd man a gun, and the first 2 a prop gun, because they were out of guns. I'll gladly fight for my country, and I did. But not if they don't give me a gun or worse, a fake gun.

1) they feel they are invincible
2) they follow directions without considering the consequences

My uncle was a pilot before WW2. When we got into the war he volunteered to fly fighters and was turned down. They did accept him as an instructor. Reason he was given was that at his age he was aware enough of consequences and would most likely not go on missions that had a high probability of death.

After I got out of college I joined the Army. Early 1975 I went to basic training. The AR-15 was in short supply. Trainees got recycles from 'Nam.

That must have been some trick. The AR15 is not a military rifle. Of course they were in short supply.

In Vietnam, the US Army used M1, M14 and M16 rifles for the most part. Contrary to popular myth, the M16 was not an AR.

They are in better shape.
They have better eyesight.
They have better hearing.
They have faster reflexes.
They don't typically have other people depending on them.
When military personnel don't follow directions, more people die.
