Can anyone explain the disdavantages of buying a "thumb" for the BX24 backhoe? They are selling for about 300+ bucks on Ebay with shipping. Is it a useful tool or does it get in the way of normal backhoe digging?

Anyone else have this issue with the 24? Have to let off the reverse pedal ever so slowly to prevent slaming hard stop. Usually enough to lift the front wheels right off the ground.

Well I pulled out the checkbook and bought a BX24. I was leaning toward the MF2310 until I read the posts here and think that the Bota will work out better for me in the long run. Even without any posts I got some good info from this forum. Unit is in stock at a local dealer and should get it...

I see posts below regarding float lifting tractor and I have the same problem. Am I just not pushing up enough to get into "float"? Is there a definite click and lock in place? If so I've never been there.
