B3030 vs. B3200

Hydrostatic steering is more durable
b3030 does not have a clutch
just a couple items I can think of at the moment.

Those are pretty nit picky things, I just don't see either of those being an issue. Kubota has used the power over manual steering for a long time and I've seen very few with trouble. As for the clutch, I can't see it ever wearing out since it's only used to engage the PTO. Those systems have been in the B-series lineup a lot longer than the deluxe features, if reliability had been a problem Kubota would have moved away from it by now.

Yep your right, it is nit picky. I was just throwing out a few things that after hard use might wear sooner. As you can see from my list what I bought. I considered that I will be 150 years old before I wear mine out. Some people use their machines allot harder than I

OK, update in order I suppose.

Stopped by the local dealership and they have a "demo" b3200 for sale. Heres the deal they gave me 52 hours on B3200, very slightly used BH75 (10 hours if that), 60" mower, filled rears, tooth bar, PTO generator (15 KW), clamp on 72" dozer blade (plow), $28200. Any thoughts? I haven't got a hard figure for the trade in of my GC 2310 from them yet.

My first thoughts are I would prefer the new BH 77 with a rotating seat but for how much I use the BH it doesn't matter. I have concerns with a demo, it looks great but if someone else didn't like it? Eye of the beholder? Didn't start anything due to time constraints, but now worried about excessive vibration in the B3200.

I'd try to locate the previous owner if possible. That tractor came back for a reason.
Whether it was an operational or a financial issue is what I'd be looking to find out. Maybe someone had problems with the tractor, maybe they simply had trouble affording the payments.

If it's sold as a demo, and not used then it's 'as new' and never been sold before. It should have a full factory warranty from the day you purchase it. I wouldn't be concerned about the hours. I tried to buy a demo 3030 from my local dealer a couple years ago....... it had almost two hundred hours on it. It was a tractor they used to bring to all the country fairs to display for two seasons. Warranty was the same as if it had zero hours.

I had a B3200 with under 50 hours and decided I'd rather have a F3080 soooooooo out went the B3200 with no issues or problem and in came the new F3080 6' mowing deck and also out went the BX2660 with 50 hours and no problems or issues and in came the BX25. If it was previously owned then call the former owner. If they say it was me, then you don't have to call.

That sounds like a very good deal. Course that is based on everything having having a "new" warranty. If those hrs are accurate it's barely broke in and was probably used as a loaner/lot demo. definitely put it through it's paces when/if you test it out.

re. 3200 vibration. Theres a long thread over in the Kubota owner/operator section concerning the vibration issue in the 4 cyl diesel in the B3030/B3200 series and one fellow has indicated that a timing change (retarded some) has not only corrected the vibration issue but made cold starting and running 100% better. You may want to check that thread out. And also mention this to the dealer before you buy.

re. BH swivel seat. seeing as how you have a GC2310, isn't that the model w/an OEM BH and swivel seat? If so I can see why you would like that setup but IMHO, I consider it an unecessary step (major PITA :D ) to have to dismount and continually swing the seat around for major repositioning of my BX23. I much prefer just having to dismount and remount 2 seats over that. But then again thats a personal preference :D

I know the larger Cases and JD industrial TLB's have ample room to just stay seated and just swing the seat fore & aft but unfortunately theres no room on our SCUT's and CUT's for such ease of operation :D

Good luck
Dave

I just bought a B3200. I sold my B7800 and before that one i had a B7500. All great machines only had one minor problem with By B7800 and B7500 and that was moisture in the control valve that would freeze in the winter. The new B3200 with Kubota BH, is awesome, everyone talks about the vibration, I don't notice it. The only minor problem I have is the new design of the front loader it doesnt have the cross bar that went over the machine to keep the loader arms together and when the weigt is taken off the loader pins they rattle really bad, but as far as performance and duribility the machine is awesome.

Had a B7800 for 3 years and I HATED that bar across the fuel filler cap as did several other B7800 owners on another tractor forum that I used to visit. Glad the L3240HST and B3200 didn't have it.
